Read it, at first I had high hopes for this issue, but the whole demon kid thing was strained. Should have just made it Conan saving a regular kid from cultists, instead of another demon kid in disguise, not to mention the fires of Mordor part.
So I wasn't the only one that thought of Valeria when first coming across the name of a Saleria.

When they bring SSOC back, probably in 2 or 3 months, they gotta go back to the old black & white magazine format.
Bring back the real SSOC.

I think Marvel is too cheap to bring back the real SSOC mag. Much easier for them to keep the standard comic size they use for all their titles. They just slapped the SSOC label on the rag cause they own the rights to it and think we the 'stupid readership' will just fall for it.
Also, what's the deal with Conan and the ladies, he never gets anywhere much with em these days. This has changed since the 80's. What, they think by showing us Conan just lopping heads off that we wouldn't notice that aspect.

Marvel Conan is a one dimensional barbarian, that is just full of anger and wants to slash everything around him for a living. He does not interest veteran readers who have had contact with real good comics. Marvel new Conan is a permanent failure.

I read this issue with very low expectations set by the negative reactions on this thread, and ya, it's mediocre for sure. But not absolute rubbish either. I have to give some credit where it's due, the art is decent.

SSOC not in the January previews for comics shipping in March. So that's more than a three month break. Not a good sign.

The original black and white SSOC sized mag with the covers that looked like they were printed from oil/acrylic on canvas originals ( many were ). That would be great, but I doubt Marvel bring that type of quality back.

Oh I indeed doubt it, too.

Did we know about this? www.hachettebookgroup.biz/titles/none/conan-exodus-and-other-tales/9781302924980/Conan: Exodus And Other Tales Description: Savage tales of Conan the Barbarian by blockbuster creators! First, visionary artist Esad Ribic writes and illustrates the never-before-told story of Conan's first journey from Cimmeria! Fifteen winters in his homeland have toughened the young warrior, but his greatest challenge lies ahead. Braving the elements without food, shelter or weapons, Conan must learn to survive even as nature itself conspires against him! Then, Frank Tieri and Andrea Di Vito send Conan on a hunt for a demonic sect in Argos! But a hellish mystery arises - and he may very well doom the nation if he can't solve it in time! And legendary Conan scribe Roy Thomas returns in a king-sized tale fit for a barbarian! COLLECTING: CONAN THE BARBARIAN: EXODUS (2019) 1, SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN (2019) 12, KING-SIZE CONAN (2020) 1 It was due September 15 but now scheduled for 2/16/21. I vaguely remember it since it collected the stray SSOC issue but when was the King Size Conan originally scheduled for? I kind of sort of remember Roy was doing something else, but don't remember anything more concrete than that.

I kinda remember Roy Thomas announcing the one shot at a comic con a few months ago and another series or one shot by Chris Claremont.
