Fair enough but in general there are a LOT of assholes online who throw around words like SJW; in practice those people tend to be racist, sexist, homophobic you name it. Even if a fair point is made it doesn't change that a lot of their criticism is simply that there's ANY diversity at all. It's like how a lot of people criticized Captain Marvel. I thought it was an alright film but it was very clear that most of the people criticizing it were simply angry that the protagonist had a vagina
Or Last Jedi. I disliked the movie. I still saw that a lot of the criticism against it was directed at simply having POC in a position of prominence.
The video Jason linked to is CLEARLY one of those guys.

I have been pleasantly surprised by this series. Sure it has some stupid moments like... spoilers
Conan getting flung off a speeding car or falling from a helicopter. But, considering the one thing I’ve read by this author was absolute trash - a Quicksilver series from a couple years ago - this Conan series had been really well done.

Well in my 50+ plus years, I’ve had almost the exact opposite experience, that the people who talk the most about diversity and tolerance are some of the most intolerant people I’ve ever met (h/t Andrew Wilkow). Takes all kinds I guess. And I liked Last Jedi (with reservations toward the fair criticisms) and Captain Marvel, go figure.

Wilkow from what I've seen is a conservative but okay. Agree to disagree. My point is that a LOT of the people who throw around words like SJW tend to be bigots of the worst kind (having watched their videos and seen them post). As such I'm automatically leery. The work they tend to actually make is bigoted as all get out (Comicsgate).
I'll drop it but I'm just explaining WHY I'm leery about the video he posted. With Captain Marvel they were review bombing before it was even OUT, and their reasons very clearly boiled down to "she has a vagina"

Maybe instead, think of them as his version of Cap's chain mail. Though I suppose not as comfortable as fishnets (not that I'd know, just guessing).

Chainmail fishnets. Now that's an image I didn't expect to have in my brain on a Monday evening.

I noticed the same thing too. Considering they have dates attached, I guess we'll find out on July 15 where #3 shows up.

Yeah, I guess, same with Savage Avengers #12 with a 30th of September release Date. Maybe Marvel will launch about 20 Conan titles with 50 variants for the 50th anniversary in October

I read #1 and #2 today and was pleasantly surprised. Las Vegas as a city of thieves does work and Ahmed did an excellent job with Conan's dialogue and man out of time persona. This is actually a pretty good series so far. Of course, Luke Ross' art is excellent.
Hope to see these guys on a Hyborian Age story sometime.
