Jim, When I read that issue 25/300 would be “a return to a fan-favorite era” I wondered if it could mean that we’d see Conan on the deck of the Tigress once again. So, yeah, the news is pretty cool. If I had to name a favorite era of the original Roy Thomas run, the years with Belit would have to be it. But I have to ask, are we seeing a re-set in where you’re working the timeline here? Are you leaping forward in Conan’s life in order to spin a chain of new yarns about his life with Belit? Or is this just a celebratory one-shot? Either way, can you give us a hint as to what to expect next? I really enjoyed the excellent twist/cliffhanger at the close of issue #22. I feel like I gotta withhold judgement at least until you wrap up this storyline, but it’s safe to say I haven’t looked forward to forthcoming issues so much since my hair had a lot less grey in it. Same here! The Belit issues of Roy's run are favorites of mine as well. Issue #25 is moving the timeline ahead. There's a story link between #24 and 25, but 25 is also built with some celebratory elements that stand on their own for readers who haven't been following along through my run. I'd originally hoped to have more pages in this issue, but the team at Marvel understandably wanted to bring on other creators to add to the anniversary feel. It's all good though and I'm thrilled to write the lead on this big issue. I have plans for more stories with Conan and Bêlit, but I don't know if I'll get the chance to carry those out. Jason is back in October with a King Conan story and things after that haven't been set on the schedule just yet. My fingers are crossed for the future, especially if there continues to be a strong reaction to Land of the Lotus. I'm really proud of Land of the Lotus. It feels like everyone on the team is in sync in terms of visuals and pacing. It's going to be great seeing it all in one collection. Thank you again for the high praise and support. If #25/300 is my last Conan story for the foreseeable future I'm thankful I got to deliver on it with Cory.

Disappointing to hear that we won't be getting your Conan , as well as Aaron's , for some time as TBH I feel the stories you've been telling , especially this current arc , is head and shoulders better than his.

Obviously I'm disappointed too, but the impression I get is that Marvel feels they should concentrate on one Conan release per month right now. Fingers crossed that with support from readers like you I'll be back after Jason's new story is done.

If any of you are curious in terms of how I write comics and work with the artist on Conan, here's a deep dive tutorial I did last year:

When you answered my question about King Conan earlier I assumed it would still be in addition to your book, not replacing it. I hope we get more Conan from you in future.

Thanks for the kind words and high praise on the land of the Lotus arc. I really hope all of you enjoy issues #24 and 25 coming up.
If you want me to write more tales of Hyborean adventure, email CONAN@marvel.com and let Marvel know.
