Yep Maiden had some of the best fantasy cover art. that huge pyramid scene is awesome. >>[ ive just noticed this which amuses me: the huge staircase ascends up between the legs [of pharoah king eddie] and enters a hole in his crotch area! so when the crowds are coming down again they seem to be walking out of his big ass-hole ?? ] that is classic brittish rock fan humour right there. [ i'm a huge fan of Maidens first 2 albums. we saw them live in Bradford, 3 years running. but their new music lost its greatness and passion after bruce poser joined ]

Raw, kinetic, and Paul Di'Anno's raspy voice created a sound that was perfect for a fusion of punk/metal. Maiden Japan is probably my all time favourite live album. After Di'Anno left they lost that crude anti-Thatcherism fuck you feeling. I still loved Maiden and saw them several times after that but you can never capture spark they had on the first two albums.
