Does anyone know the difference between the stories written in upper case and lower case throughout the chronologies? For example, I'm currently working my way through the Shadows in Zamboula stories: 128 SHADOWS IN ZAMBOULA 01 THE ABODE OF THE DAMNED (SSC#11 - REH,ROY,JB,YM) 02 THE HAUNTERS OF CASTLE CRIMSON (SSC#12 - REH,ROY,JB,AA) 03 THE BLOOD OF THE GODS (SSC#28 - REH,ROY,JB,AA) 04 The Fangs of the Serpent (SSC#65 - MF,GK) 05 SHADOWS IN ZAMBOULA (SSC#14 - REH,ROY,NA,TR) Why is The Fangs of the Serpent written in lower case? This is just one example from the list. Also, is it just the time period that links the stories when they're organised like this? For example, each of these stories starts with a blurb of how Conan takes charge of the Zuagirs and then leaves them near Zamboula when he's about 31. I've been looking for more specific links between the stories but haven't really come across any yet (that I've noticed anyway). Cheers! From what I remember from the last time I looked at it, I think the adaptations of one kind or another are capitalizied while the original stories for the magazines are regular. Test that theory out :-) This worked for the first few I looked at then didn't. But then I realised the link actually seems to be Roy Thomas. Can it really be that? Seems to work for the entire list. The only exception I found was 09 CIMMERIA where ROY isn't listed, though he was actually the editor of SSoC #24, where the poem can be found (or at least it's BWS's slightly modified version if I remember correctly). It does seem like it's Roy's work that is capitalised. Interesting.

Whereabouts in Conan's life would we place his adventures starting from him encountering the Scarlet Witch in AVENGERS: NO ROAD HOME to his final appearance in volume two of SAVAGE AVENGERS?

I'd look at the "modern" universe Conan as someone completely different from the Hyborian age Conan. I don't think they are compatible at all. By the way Conan looks and acts in these comics, he should be not too old but then again it would be weird for him to just return and continue his life without ever thinking about it again - that's why I'd just dismiss these stories chronology wise (even though I liked them).

It would make sense if, on returning home, he lost the bulk of his memories of his adventures in the future.

TBH I'd just consider them part of the What If? Universe , along with the far future Conan issue they put out , rather than try to fit them into the "real" Conan Universe. It's hard enough having three versions of the Hyborian Age out there - 2X Marvels & DH without trying to fit those stories in somewhere.

I just reckon it would work best if, at some point shortly after, he lost most of his memories of his time in this era.

Are you sure, I'm pretty certain Conan dies! ***Sorry, just realised he survives the 5th issue. Turns out I did not read the issue properly at the time

Just remembered, Conan meets Thulsa Doom in this comic, but also in the original CtB series in the 90s......can they be reconciled? I'd like to think his modern adventures could be made to fit SOMEHOW.
Something else of minor note: One issue reveals in a flashback that Conan once encountered the Hyborian version of the Ghost Rider fighting an army in some desert, if I recall correctly. Would this be very shortly prior to his meeting with the Scarlet Witch, perhaps, or earlier?

To those reading or re-reading the comics and magazines, do you have a favourite order to do so?
Since the omnibuses have been released I've been working my way through them (and enjoying them a lot).
The original marvel CtB and Dark Horse (epic collections) I've been mostly reading in order of publication (occasionally deviating according to the chronologies on page 1 and 2 of this thread).
For Savage Sword I've been picking areas of Conan's travels and diving into those, jumping about the omnibuses. For example, I spent the last couple of months reading his Zuagir years (though skipping issues that haven't been republished in omnibuses yet).
What do you others like to do?

Hello to all. I want to resurrect this post by making a request. I've been using the reading order that the user jrtxs2001 had posted in google docs and had left us here the link to make a digital publication with all those comics put in their chronological order, but recently he has deleted it and I was stupid and didn't save any copy. Would someone who had it be so kind as to provide it to me? Thank you all very much.
