I fucking love the way things are building up. I haven't really seen it yet but it really feels like things are moving towards an endgame, with the Night's King as the Show's final boss

I see a lot of speculation that that the Umbers are taking the role of the Manderlys for TV purposes. They're loyal to the Starks, but just acting like they're with the Boltons. A lot of people think that wolf's head was far too small to be a Direwolf's. People think that's the reason Smalljohn didn't swear any oaths or anything, as he's planning on killing Ramsay and Karstark. For the purpose of the TV show, perhaps the Black Fish has it? I'd love to see that guy again. I too have a feeling that the Umbers aren't siding with the Boltons. I heard that The Blackfish will be back this season, and supposedly it's been confirmed already.

I sort of feel like it's doing a lot of wheel spinning, and cutting away from things just as they get interesting. What happened to the White Walkers?

The White Walkers are currently amassing their undead army...I'm guessing they'll be attacking the Wall or moving closer to the Wall during the course of this season, but time is running out. They have just a bit too many story lines going on, when focusing more on Jon, Daeny, Bran, and Tyrion would be wise. We don't need to know what Sam, Arya, Sansa, Theon(wtf?), etc. are up to every minute. The Cersei and Jaime scenes can also be cut down. Until Dorne invades.
Episode 4 -
Episode 5 -
Episode 6 -
Episode 7 -
Episode 8 -
Episode 9 -
Episode 10 -
We still have 7 shows left, so that's roughly less than seven hours. Since the show is winding down, with just one more season left, extended to 13 episodes from what I hear, we really have twenty episodes left. They have to start collapsing some of these stories on to each other. Sansa, Jon, and Bran are geographically the closest. Daeny and Tyrion need to get back together, too. Just to move things along toward a conclusion.
Daeny has her three dragons which can fly her basically anywhere, so it's no problem getting her and a few other people to Westeros, but now that her fleet is burned to a crisp... cue the Iron Islanders.

Last I heard they might be dividing those last 13 episodes into two seasons - seven episodes for season 7 and six for season 8. Seems like an awful lot to cram into such a short run, though, so they're going to have to hack out a load of story to get there. I think at this point, Martin isn't too worried, cause his novels will probably be drastically different.

We'll probably get all the major plot points in the TV show, such as Jon's mother, the Three Heads of the Dragon, etc.. but the journey will be very different. I'm not sure we'll even get this Night's King White Walker in the books.

The Night's King makes sense. But yes this is the penultimate season I think. I think the final battle is going to be Jon vs the Night's King.

So it looks like we're definitely going to get some more storylines converging soon.
We got Jon and Sansa tonight, and it looks like Dany and her VAST Dothraki horde will be returning to Mereen.
The King's Landing stuff is the most boring of the bunch, but now it looks like that's about to get interesting again.
I just hope they keep the Iron Islands to a minimum. Introduce the person who is going to sail to Slaver's Bay and move on please. Same with Dorne, either invade or don't focus on them. Something tells me they're taking the place of Young Griff from the books, though, so I imagine they'll invade the Tyrell lands, forcing the Tyrell army to leave King's Landing, hence leaving the Iron Throne vulnerable.

They're really charting their own course now. They've repurposed the letter from Ramsey to Jon, but it'll serve the same impetus in the end.
And for those who were annoyed by the reports a certain cast member's reluctance for removing her clothes anymore...well, that reluctance is officially over!

I hate to break it to you but I think that was CGI noodity. Either that or she saw the box office receipts for TERMINATOR: GENISYS and thought "Oops! I better start getting my kit off again..."

Actress in question has confirmed it was her in all her glory, no body double. And it wouldn't surprise me if those box office receipts (or lack thereof) may have played just a little part in the decision.

Thormond has really been eyeing Brienne. This could be a really calamitous romance.

I'm really hoping we get some cool Tyrion shit next episode with this new Red Priestess. Isn't it odd that a Red Priestess has made their way to both Jon and Tyrion (and presumably Daeny when she returns)?
Next week also looks pretty epic with Bran and the Night's King. Maybe we'll get a heavy supernatural episode.
Just don't stay in the Iron Islands too long...I'm curious to see if they'll have both Euron and Victarion, or just merge them into Euron for the sake of simplicity. I guess it will be cool to see what happens to Theon, though. Is he broken, or will he reform himself into an Iron Islands Unsullied?
