I was wondering if Tormund - Sansa would be the stand-in Wilding-Northern union for Magnar - Alys Karstark....
But now, maybe not... Tormund was definitely smitten.

I hate to break it to you but I think that was CGI noodity. Either that or she saw the box office receipts for TERMINATOR: GENISYS and thought "Oops! I better start getting my kit off again..."
Actress in question has confirmed it was her in all her glory, no body double. And it wouldn't surprise me if those box office receipts (or lack thereof) may have played just a little part in the decision.
Yep, that was definitely her. I found the title of this Entertainment Weekly article to be kind of humorous. Click on it to read:
Emilia Clarke on that epic nude scene
Epic nudity, my friends!

Yep. "Hold the door!"
Not only that, but some nice bit of backstory regarding the White Walkers as a bonus.
It would appear they are indeed combining Euron and Victarion for simplicity.
Looks like the Black Fish is coming back, but to what end? Littlefinger must have a plan that involves the Blackfish leaving Riverun or something.
Next week's episode looks like a snoozefest, more King's Landing shit.

They are really knocking down the cast members this season. And we've lost as many dire wolves in 5 episodes than we did in 5 seasons! (Say where is Nymeria anyway? Didn't her ancient namesake come back and win a giant battle just in time to save everybody?)
But it's going to be really hard to rewatch this series, knowing what we know now about a lot of the characters. Especially the one from last night.

But it's going to be really hard to rewatch this series, knowing what we know now about a lot of the characters. Especially the one from last night. It's going to be tough to read the books knowing some of these high plot points. I'm still not convinced that the wolf's head was Shaggy Dog. I'm thinking the Umbers are just biding their time. Then again, they're pretty fucking deep undercover since they fed Osha to Ramsay. But, yeah if that was Shaggy dog we're down to Ghost and Lady Nymeria. In the books she was leading an army of wolves in the areas around the Trident. If she'd bring them North... After next episode, I think we'll have a better idea how the rest of the season is going to play out. We'll get a better picture of King's Landing and hopefully get Dany back to Mereen. That Red Priestess in Mereen found her Prince that was Promised candidate I guess. Maybe Dany is the Prince that was Promised and John is Azor Ahai. But I guess the odds of them being one and the same was basically confirmed on the TV show at least. I take it that the Greyjoy kids are going to sail to Essos with their massive fleet and try to help Daeny. Good idea...get that storyline collapsed into Dany and Tyrion's, one less pov. I have to admit, I feel a bit sorry for GRRM. Last night two big reveals that he didn't get to tell in his books. Although, the bit with the White Walkers was hinted at in a few passages in hindsight according to some reddit threads. Hopefully Bran finds the nearest Weirwood hotspot available and takes us back to the Tower of Joy before the end of the season. It appears that little shit IS time traveling in some form and not just seeing the memories of the trees.

We were talking at work about Bran's little galvanting around...what if while trying prevent history from unfolding as it did he'd accidentally done the same thing to King Aemon II?
Yeah, it'll take some of the "winds" out of the next book since we might have already seen several major surprise deaths. Then again, they could all be running around alive at the end of the next book next to Barristan Selmy (though I think last night's end was/is the one Martin intended/s).

I'm wondering how much of this is stuff that the writers created and how much is actually what Martin had planned, so it'll be really interesting to see how the books differ from the show. Either way, the Hodor reveal from last night was genius. When the young Hodor kept dramatically repeating those words over and again, I find myself feeling quite upset! I can't say this about any other episode of the show, but I was getting a little choked up.

According to the writers the general outline (that Bran accidentally caused Hodor to loose his marbles and how he dies) is similar. It might not occur EXACTLY the same way but overall the outline is faithful

I wonder what the last shock will be. I figure it's not L+R=J, because it sounds like they guessed that before he even greenlit the series. I think a spoiler was released regarding the Tower of Joy, though. The actor who plays Young Eddard Stark said he'd have another short appearance in Episode 6 (which must have just been Bran's flashes) and would get another meaty scene in Episode 10. Which makes sense, the reveal about John is definitely worthy of a season finale. I loved the flashes that Bran was having. Cool seeing the Mad King and Jaime stabbing his ass. The King's Landing plot is just weird. Same with "going back in time" and sending Jaime to the Riverlands. I won't complain, though, as we get to see the Blackfish again. I wonder what's next for Jaime after that? Lady Stoneheart? That could very well be setting her up for the show.

Personally, I'd love to see her appear on the show. I would have thought for sure she wouldn't be on the show, but now with Jaime playing out that plot (seemingly anyway), I think she's a sure thing. Pair that with all the time spend on Bendric and Jon's resurrections, and I think it would be foolish not to include her now.
