Hello all - Ive not been here much since the move, but I am currently trying to launch a line of miniatures that will hopefully appeal to Conan and barbarian fans, making no secret I have scaled them to match the Conan boardgame miniatures Here is the link if you would like to have a look! Cool stuff, nice designs.
I'm not a mini guy; I think they're cool but decided the painting skill set was too time intensive for me. So I don't know much, but I'm curious...
Why metal? I thought the trend was toward PVC or some other plastic... Is that purely a cost saving measure; is there a reason to favor metal if plastics cheaper?

Mick Plastic is cheaper in huge quantities - but the setup costs are high, and a small company won't even get a shot at being on the production schedule for the companies that do it. Metal is still fairly cheap and produces better detail I think - although there are some limitations to casting in metal that will necessitate a few of my future pieces being in resin, which is a bit more expensive.

Well hells! Look like I missed out on this. Pity, I could see using all of them for characters and npc in my Barbarians of Lemuria game. Guess I'll just have to wait until I can either order them or purchase at my FLGS.

Sent you a PM Kane. Thanks deuce; back and I actually bought the new Conan comic today, first in a long time - looking forward to reading it after hearing good things here from the fellow forum members! Already planning the next Kickstarter for later in the year - shamans and serpentmen will be the focus
