Wow that IS true. Though given that Conan is older and more seasoned he may be able to escape. Probably kill the Witch
But I'm digging the story. Avenger had good writing (Seriously they made Janissa a likable character) but terrible art. I think that if Davillo was doing the art in Avenger it would have done far better.
But Jenhugir is dropped in issue 2 so Devil is DEFINATELY next on the docket. That's fine by me.
Maybe they should try to get Busiek and Nord to return.

Every page of this preview looks good. I see Dávila improving here and there, never going back, which is just real. Keep that up, man!!!! I did not read the story to avoid spoilers but when I do I'll comment about it too.

Great pic! Nicely detailed and very appropriate to what Conan should look like. I like the atmosphere, a little somber and dark. That is how I see it. Detail, atmosphere and appropriate Conan behaviour and bearing. The formula for success. Keep them coming, Mr. Dávila. Your work is pleasing me more and more.

Interesting to note the reviewer says # 3 is the best issue up to now, which is really great news. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Betting this team is still just messing around and is willing to find their stride in the near future.

Wow, someone really peed in Conan's cheerios! But seriously, that's a great sketch, and it really shows that Davila knows how to draw Conan. Like deuce said, it'll be nice if he progresses like Tomas, and I hope he's around long enough to have the chance!

They kept Atieyeh as a penciller. I think Davila will have a chance.

How could he possibly have such a disgruntled expression when he has such an attractive companion. Maybe he just discovered she's a nun sworn to a jealous god.

What a great issue. Best Conan comic since Truman and Giorello left the main titles years ago. The story and art are very good. I enjoyed Conan's dialogue with the sea witch and felt it had a couple of surprising moments. The story has some terror in it that I have been missing since the old days of Roy Thomas Savage Sword. The down point is that I still don't understand the purpose of including such creatures in the middle of the story. It looks to me they were included just for the fun of having them there. Not sure about that. As for the art, it is good, it has many great panels but character's arms for me are exaggerated. Too much muscle, not necessary. The last page of the book is very well illustrated and it shows the improvement we will be finding in future issues.

I really enjoyed the twist that each character sees the creatures differently, depending on what their fears are. I just wish there wasn't such a big gap between issues, as I had totally forgotten that Conan was attacked by trolls at the end of #2. It took me a few pages of reading to recall the events.

I gotta admit, this issue was the best so far. It looks like, given time Davila will get there. Hopefully, he will develop into a great Conan artist.
It's been a long time since I've actually looked forward to the next issue of Conan.
