Brie Larson has never hidden the fact that she has been using the movies as a form of platform for her annoying misandrist politics. She said in an interview that she would like to be involved in an 'all female Avengers movie'. www.cnet.com/news/avengers-endgames-brie-larson-would-direct-an-mcu-movie/ If it all goes pear shaped Marvel/Disney Studios will only have themselves to blame for employing a narcissistic activist with a personality disorder to front major productions. We'll see what happens next.

I have to give credit where it's due, Marvels not stupid.

This version of Captain Marvel drove Thor to drink, I mean really drink.

It really sucks because I've enjoyed Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel/Captain Marvel for years. Larsons take on the character is awful. I wish ANYBODY else were playing the part. All the Cap Marvel lines in Endgame that piss people off would have worked if delivered by an actress with charisma.
Imagine someone else in the role. I dunno.. Kaley Cuoco... Jenna Fischer... Zoe Saldana in a dual role.... Lady Ga Ga...

Interesting to note that in one significant way the MCU has seemingly kind of gone down the path of Star Trek. That is, the possibility of the creation of new time lines and universes with the Avengers Endgame. Star Trek already has the Kelvin and Prime timelines, and that's not counting stories set in the mirror universe. Possible plot convenience in that you can always bring back dead characters, create different story arcs and histories without someone pointing out inconsistencies. Of course, there is always the possibility that this sort of thing can become too convoluted and confusing to many viewers watching all the series and films, and that everything that is built up can just be reversed and become pointless. screenrant.com/avengers-endgame-marvel-movie-timeline-problem-2023/Happy that Star Wars hasn't taken that route.

Marvel Studios' Black Widow - Official Teaser Trailer I'm kinda burned out on the Marvel movies....(I haven't seen Dr. Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, the last 4 Spiderman movies or Avengers Endgame), but IMO the preview for Black Widow looks pretty good.

I watched Thor:Ragnarok the other day. It was kinda campy, funny, a fun ride of an adventure that never took itself too seriously. Actually, that’s why I liked it. I personally think it’s the best way to play movies of this type that have a zoo universe of aliens, monsters, villains and superheroes all in the one flick. Nice touch how they gave Korg a Kiwi Maori accent. The Sakaar part with Jeff Goldblum kinda reminded me of the Fifth Element

It certainly gave the cinematic version of Thor a new lease of life.

I think Chris Hemsworth had a lot of fun with this one, and from what I understand, Taika Waititi gave the actors more creative licence over their characters, more adlib than your normal fare. Interestingly enough, Taika also voiced Korg.

In my humble opinion Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 was better than the original ( which was still good ), even more humour than the Thor Ragnarok movie. I enjoyed the oddball dynamics of the team, they kind of make it work, like a dysfunctional family of sorts, and in this one they had Mantis and Ego. Can’t help but compare the Guardians with that other zany space faring team from Farscape, really loved that show. Anyway, will be hanging out for Vol 3 in the Guardians series. I never really paid much attention to the Guardians of the Galaxy comic offerings ( when they came along ), preferred The Defenders, Micronauts and the X Men back when I really read the Marvel stuff, but I have become a fan of the Guardians as depicted in the Marvel cinematic universe.
