Some excellent acting, even if the subtitles are awful. Yeah, the subs are awful. The death scene of Prince Mustafa, the eldest son of Suleiman the Magnificent and half- brother of Selim and Bayezid. No subs unfortunately, Suleiman wrongly accuses his son of betraying him. I think the rest is easy enough to follow.

A very interesting idea, doing quasi-historical profiles. Cool.

Time for Yezdigerd's story to come to an end
Part 3 of King Yezdigerd King Yezdigerd Part 3
As King Yezdigerd grew older he became despondent. While tribute still flowed in the expansion ground to a halt in the aftermath of Yezdigerd's final attempt to capture vendhaya; so many men perished that until the new generation rose to manhood Yezdigerd lacked the numbers to continue his expansion. His sons grew to manhood, each trying to prove themselves to their cold and distant father. Even avenging his injury on Makkalet by the Nemedian adventurer Aurio was only fleeting. He wanted to be back in the saddle, to command armies as he once did years ago.
Eventually in his early 50s the opportunity arose. His armies were now replenished and his two sons Ardashir and Mustafa were now ready to lead the charge. He attempted to rouse the Stygians against Conan as a distraction; the Stygians, under the guidance of Thoth Amon and the black ring were playing the long game but agreed to keep Conan off balance with internal plots and intrigues. The army of the Griffin exploded westwards, launching attacks on Zamorian, Bryunthia Shem and others. Yezdigerd and his men engineered a coup amongst those few nobles who loathed Conan still, playing on their vanity and saying that at least a foreign ruler like Yezdigerd was civilized. Conan was off balance for a precious few months, allowing Yezdigerd to conquer his wife's homeland of Khauran and several Shemite city states. Conan was forced to call upon his old allies in the Red Brotherhood, the Kozaki, the Afghulis, Zuagir as well as Devi Yasmina to harry Yezdigerd. Yezdigerd's army was slowed enough for Conan to purge his internal foes. Conan spent the rest of the first year and the opening part of the second dealing with Stygia's attempts to assassinate Conan. In the process those members of the black ring who supported the attempted murder of the sovereign were wiped out by Conan. From there Conan moved to the offensive. Leaving behind just enough forces to quell any Pictish uprising, the now 55 year old Conan rode to the front, at the command of an unprecedented host composed of all the armies of Hyboria. On the plains of Shem and the hills of Zamoria the Hyborian armies clashed with Turanian soldiers. While the Shemite city states were liberated from Yezdigerd's gauntleted fist, this was done at great cost to the forces of Hyboria, while Khauran remained under Turan's heel. Things came to a head when the forces of Vendhaya, aligned with the afghulis and the kozaki captured Secundrum at the same time that Yezidgerd's son Crown Prince Ardashir fell in battle against Hyborian forces, Yezdigerd was besides himself with sorrow and rage. He marched into battle, determined to break the hyborian host once and for all. In the Deserts of Turan, the armies of the Hyborian nations (aided by the Kozaki and Zuagir) faced off with those of Turan. At the climax of the battle Conan and Yezdigerd faced off in what chroniclers would later call the most titanic sword duel of the age. Yezdigerd remained an unparalleled swordsman and age had not softened him like most civilized men. His barbarian heritage also gave him an advantage that those such as Zarono had not possessed. As such, both men were equally matched with neither one gaining the advantage over the other one. Eventually, as the battle began to turn in the favor of the Hyborians Conan was able to gain the advantage and with a single massive swipe of his blade he severed Yezdigerd's head from his shoulders, ending the life of Turan's monarch.
In the aftermath of the victory, the forces of Hyborian, the free peoples and Vendheya extracted concessions from the people of Turan. Turan was forced to pay monetary compensation to the nations of Bryunthia, Corinthia and Nemedia and to give the Kozaki land for a free society to exist unmolested, provided they did not attack Turanian trade. However, they were otherwise allowed to keep the territories that had not been liberated by the coalition forces, which meant that the Hyrkanian City states the rest of Ghulistan, and Khauran remained under Turan's heel. The monetary compensation, while harsh, was not fatal and Turan would be able to recover. However, it would not be until the fall of the Hyborian age that Turan would ever reach the prominence it once had.

Editor's Note:
Yeah I kept Khauran under Turanian occupation; the Turanians probably wouldn't go for peace unless they had SOME gains, and the Hyborians would have been near the limit. Allowing the Turanians a little bit of face would have allowed both sides (neither of whom really wanted to fight due to the toll) to withdraw and save face. Also, given that Yezdigerd's wife is Khaurani, he'd be more inclined to treat the people of Khauran MUCH better than Constantius did. Therefore it wouldn't be as massive a betrayal on Conan's part; it'd be occupied, but more like Zamboula.

Hi Lordyam. Thanks for your various detailed character profiles. Plenty good ideas and sensible speculations. and hopefully other writers will find them useful in fleshing out some more new fan tales? ==== >> some more ideas for fan tales... 1] high level thievery, in Turanian big city, robbing priceless items from a palace, or a big temple complex? [ not by conan. by some other characters? ] 2] daring pirate adventures /raids [ + sea fights? ] in Vilayet sea, on Turan coast? 3] a powerful female warrior /assassin [ with some sorceress spells ] [ very sexy dancer ] infiltrates huge turan palace to kill the king. + then very exciting escape attempt, + big chase? ==== Option nro. 1 is beginning to tick my mind. Perhaps nro. 3 aswell, to some parts. Maybe a slight combination. However, I admit that I am not as great a Howard scholar as many of you here and feel a bit shy of getting it wrong, detail-wise. If I write a story out of my head, do I have the community's support on fleshing up the details in suitable order? As in names and places and such.

Sure. I'm sure the others will happily give advice. I'm not a howard scholar either
