New Release Date: May 24, 2017 We'll be lucky if this makes it to 25 issues at this point.

Honestly I don't particularly mind.
Considering the shenanigans regarding release dates the series has lost very few readers. May 24th is about a month later, which is hardly a bad schedule.
It'll be a little later but I think it'll be 25 issues.

#10 will likely slide to the end of June, #11 to the end of July and if we get the August solicits with #12 at the end of that month, THEN we might be back on a schedule.

Yeah, adapt them as mini series going forward. Lately the filler arcs just dilute the pace. I enjoyed the opening arc, but we all know what we really want to see. REH adaptations.

The thing is that after this we only have a few stories left.
Pool of the Black One Drums of Tombalku Vale of Lost Women Red Nails Black Stranger Beyond the Black River
I think that ONE of these is getting the miniseries treatment already from Roy Thomas but I think they should have allowed ONE more series with Giorello and Truman. A 25 issue adapting the Black And Red Trilogy.
Fred Van Lente revived the Conan Thoth rivalry so maybe we'll see the end of the Prince storyline as well.

I'm not sure how they're going to proceed considering we have this big "we've done the passion fruit" right in front of us since everyone agrees People of the Black Circle should be next and there doesn't seem to be a real need to redo it so soon after the last one. If they shift things around and do Shadows/Man-Eaters next, it sort of messes things up with Conan going back and forth and back forth over the same area. What's left should go (forgive the Grateful Dead symbology): Man-Eaters>Drums(wow, really IS Grateful Dead!)>Vale>Pool>Black River>Black Stranger>Red Nails>Servants (enough time has past since the PCR version and there's still a lot of story left to tell of his time in Punt)>"Day of the Lion". We'll have to see what happens when (if?) we get past issue #12.

Nah, I remember Conan talking to himself quite often back in the old days. I just grabbed a random SSOC volume and found at least a few occasions where he was yapping to himself hehe.

I have to admit I have not picked up the last couple of issues. I read them at the comic-book shop and online. I recently read the original REH yarn and the SSOC adaptation by Roy Thomas, John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala. So, to be honest I have kinda lost interest in DH's rendition of Conan. I'm not saying this new adaptation is awful, but to me it just feels unnecessary.

I think that's unfair. DH said they'd do all of them and I think they still want to hold true. They only have like 6 left after this series wraps up
(Red Nails, Black Stranger, Black River, Drums of Tombalku, Vale of Lost Women and Pool of the Black One)
Still think that Truman should be allowed to do the black and red trilogy

But, I have to be honest, I have lost interest in DH's Conan, especially since the Brian Wood run.
