What system? (rule system, not star system...) Speak for yourself, deepermagic. Char-Vell, what star system? Tell us about the party! Their ship! First adventure! Mick. The pc's are part of a gang of scum sent to Ord Biniir by an unnamed benefactor to retrieve a cubical artifact from an underground pyramid while avoiding the Imperials and the Black Sun.
The first session we bought some gear on Dantooine, then flew to Ord Biniir where we got attacked by Womp Rats. after that a power struggle ensued over whether or not to euthanize a mortally wounded NPC. (he was euthanized)
I play a Trandoshan Scoundrel who slings a customized Chrome plated blaster and peddles a "Universal Remedy" (read snake Oil)
there's also a Gamorean soldier, Cerean scout, a Rhodian, and a couple of Weequay

Man I just don't get the anger at Star Wars... I think I've concluded that it's fake outrage, and YouTube clicks must pay well, so it's a good way to keep the grift going. Anyway I'm sure Disney and LucasFilm will be filing for bankruptcy come January after Rise of Skywalker hits theaters.

They're making money. And a lot of people still love them.
The issue is that so many of the people attacking the new movies are alt righters and sexist internet trolls that it becomes hard to critique (I personally disliked Last Jedi but am appalled by the amount of racism and sexism thrown at cast members like Kelly Mari Trahn.)

The issue is that so many of the people attacking the new movies are alt righters and sexist internet trolls that it becomes hard to critique (I personally disliked Last Jedi but am appalled by the amount of racism and sexism thrown at cast members like Kelly Mari Trahn.) There was a lot wrong with Last Jedi but it wasn't "girls doing stuff."
The only Rose part I disliked was the "we'll beat them with love" line. There was a lot of hate for the casino planet, but I enjoyed that. Luke cosmically trolling Kylo was pretty funny too,
Mainly, I found all the "space" scenes clunky a full of logic flaws that challenged my suspension of disbelief.
My other problems were subjective, and I saw things that seemed to be a "f### you" to long time fans. a little more time should have been devoted to Chewie, Luke and Leia dealing with Han's death. Akbar's death was poorly handled. Poe Dameron went from being "the Republic's top pilot" to a mutinous jackass for some reason.
Alt righters and sexist internet trolls won't stop me from criticizing the film. they are probably middle school edgelords or Russian bots anyway.

In some ways I enjoyed The Last Jedi more than the first instalment of the new trilogy. I never did like the ‘passing the baton’ thing all that much, and in all honesty it looked like poor Carrie fisher was really struggling in some ways, maybe they did not make her do many takes, and her accent seemed a little different from the original trilogy, even age taken into account. Having said that, I thought Harrison Ford nailed the part again, like he never left it. Mark Hamilton was convincing as an older cynical Luke, albeit a different Luke, and one that the actor felt was not part of the Skywalker saga.
It wasn’t the original movies, but how could it be anyway, this is not the 80’s anymore. Of course I still like the fact that Billy Dee William's Lando is coming back for the next film. Generally speaking I normally don’t like bringing back the old cast from decades past unless it really fits in with the story, maybe just have one return in a movie. Don’t know how they will fit Emperor Palpatine into it, maybe they are trying to give some legitimacy to The First Order.
I thought Daisy Ridley as Ray gave us a heroic, strong and very likeable character to relate to, definitely not in your face feminist politics as some made out, although there was a little bit of that in the movie, especially in the amusing interaction between Poe and Vice Admiral Holdo. John Boyega as Finn did a good job with the reluctant hero bit.
Anyway, Rise of Skywalker should be a fun popcorn and coke spectacle. Like Mark Hamill once said, ‘it’s just a movie’.
Talking about Mark Hamill, his portrayal as Talus of the Knights Templars in the series Knightfall is very convincing, a true show case of Hamill’s talents as an actor.

Indeed. I’d have preferred if Luke was like tali’s in last jedi A missed opportunity. Even though the medieval world of the Knights Templar is somewhat removed from the Star Wars universe, Talus had a conviction in his belief system, a true spiritual warrior, perhaps closer to the original Luke Skywalker than the disillusioned cynic presented in the Last Jedi, although I still enjoyed Mark Hamill's performance in episode VIII.

Man this Carl Weathers scene might be a little intense for kids...

Looks cool, but I can't help but think that this would have worked better as a major film production.

Notice the Mandalorian's rifle with the forked end. That rifle is a nod to the one Boba Fett had in the animated segment of the holiday special from the 70's, the first appearance of Boba Fett.

Somewhere along the line they should just turn the Mandalorian bounty hunter into Boba Fett, just make it that he survived the Sarlacc and has been in disguise to avoid the Hutts and Empire remnants cause of a bounty on his head for the frak up at the Great Pit of Carkoon.

I just have to find a way to explain this. Maybe we can get Lucas to sign something stating that this was not Boba Fett, but someone that knocked him out in Mos Eisley, stole his armour and took his place in RotJ. Or maybe it was Boba Fett, and he escaped the Sarlacc, but had a penchant for panic attacks, flailing his arms and screaming aiieeeeeeee when the going got really tough and he lost full control of a situation. Boba Fett death
