Yeah.......I never liked those even when I was 14. DH Thoth actually looks like an egyptian wizard, as does age of conan.

Those things on his head ... a bit impractical, not to mention silly looking. Blame it on Barry Windsor-Smith. Apparently, he was trying to be clever and tie the name in with the ram-headed Amon/Amun/Amen. It would seem that he meant for the horns to be real. Would've been odd to see Thoth the Slave wandering around in PotS. He'd kinda stand out. I also doubt Thoth would've been able to "sneak" anywhere after he lost the Ring. BWS was no REH expert at the time, but that version stuck, more or less. capnscomics.blogspot.com/2016/08/thoth-amon-by-barry-smith.html

In CONAN THE BUCCANEER, Thoth-Amon's centre of operations is in the desert oasis of Khajar. Yet in the "SKULL ON THE SEAS" storyline in SSOC, set before BUCCANEER, he is based in a temple in Stygia's capital city of Python. What do we suppose happened to make him move his headquarters between stories?
