Robert E. Howard & Cross Plains

REH wasn't born in Cross Plains, but he grew up there and died there. Living there certainly had an effect on him, so I thought we could use a thread on it. Here's a tour of the Cross Plains Review, which Howard worked for during a short period in 1925.

Norris Chambers' father and REH's dad were good buddies. Norris was a lot younger than Bob, but they got along. A lot of good insights in this video regarding REH during the last years of his life in Cross Plains. At about 2:30, Norris talks about reading Howard's Edgar Rice Burroughs novels.
