I saw "Loud Love" the first time it aired on MTV. Blew my mind. I was able to catch Soundgarden at a small club in Lawrence not long after that. Saw them again at Lollapalooza '96. I was just talking to someone about Cornell yesterday. He helped create the Seattle scene and was the best thing it ever produced, IMO. Requiescat in pace, Chris.

Yeah, this is a real loss. Saw Soundgarden back in the day, when Monstermagnet had just a single album and was opening for them.
Like Deuce, my first contact with Cornell and Soundgarden was on MTV, but it was another tune off Loud Love--- Hands All Over
And this is probably my favorite latter day Soundgarden tune...
Dig the amazing, piercing cry that grows out of the vocals at 1:42-- "Tomorrow begat tomorrow, tomorrow begat tomorrow, tomorrow begat tomorrooo-aaaiii!"
One of the most powerful vocalists I've ever heard.
