Does anyone know if there is a central REH Society (national? international?)? It looks to me that the REH Foundation seems to be the most logical parallel, but I was wondering if there were some sort of organization that has regional chapters. I would like to either join a local one or start a new one in my area, but I was unsure if there was already an organization in place.
I've asked the REH Foundation about this but have not heard anything back from them.

I'm not aware of any such fan organization currently extant; there's the Robert E. Howard united press association, but that has a strictly limited membership. The old Hyborian Legion is long defunct.

The old Hyborian Legion is long defunct. Thanks for the response. That's a shame. I'm a part of a society for another author which has been extremely beneficial to the promotion of the author and his works, and we have a bit of fun too. I'm a part of a few REH pages/groups on facebook, and they are great, but not really scratching the itch. I think a Howard society with little branches all over would be amazing. I've never been to Howard Days, but hope to do so at some point in the future. That would seem like a perfect annual meeting place. Maybe I should just start one in my area.

Might be worth asking on the pages/groups you're on if anyone's in your area . A trip to Howard Days is really worth the effort , and meeting up with other Howard Heads might lead to something you're looking for too.
