Over the last few years I've been diving DEEP into genealogy. I've been fortunate enough to have a very clear record of my paternal line to the 1500's and can trace my maternal line more or less back to the 1600's. With all of that information I've been able to have a lot of fun with a website called Relative Finder where it will link up how you are related to other submitted trees, etc. (Now there is always a bit of error that is possible to occur as people can more or less upload anything they want, but for the most part it can be double checked if a tree looks suspicious).
But the fun part is that there are a lot of historical and famous people's trees that have been uploaded to the database and they will link up your info with all the other trees to see who you are related to. I won't bore you with my family history or who I'm related to, but I did want to throw this out there; I've discovered that I'm related to Robert E Howard! He is my 14th cousin, once removed! Which, in the grand scheme of things, doesn't really mean a blip since our common ancestor was born in the 1400's, but it's cool to be able to have a link nonetheless!
(I also discovered that Edgar Rice Burroughs is my 8th cousin, 3 times removed.)
Anyone else into genealogy?

I did until I came across the name Arthur Jermyn in my maternal line, then I dropped all further study.

IE one from your maternal, the other from your paternal? REH and ERB being related to each other would be some cool news.

It's been a while since I've toyed around with that site (been a while since I've been around here too!), but I would assume a similar link between ERB and REH would have to exist if I'm also related to both to some degree (again, we're talking 8th and 14th cousins which in all honesty is stretching the word, but the link is there nonetheless. If I can recall my login info I'll try to see if I can plug them both in.
