Does anyone think Pathfinder Media are capable of convincing another studio to have a go at Ryan Condal's Conan?
If not. What's next for Conan on screen?

Depends. Starz might work. They did Spartacus. HBO may do it to replace GoT (which ends next year)

It'll depend on what kind of arrangement they had with Amazon regarding the work already done. They may retain some rights to what Ryan was doing, or Amazon may walk away altogether and they're free to take it elsewhere. With the multitude of platforms out there, there SHOULD be one where a project like this would have a home. But it's a matter of the right people convincing another set of right people that there is an audience for it and allow it to be properly done.
If not...well...

If they were to take the general Marvel approach of taking known storylines and reworking them to tell a "new" story, would that work? I know I've thought the three King Conan stories could be streamlined into one story. We don't know what their future plans are for content for Hulu, if they were to get involved, that may be possible.

You just can't help yourself can you? As per the request of some members why don't you come discuss these political views on the thread started in the Off-Topic section? I'm sure you can find it as I had you in mind when I made the title...
As I said in my previous post, I started discussing politics once it has been brought up by other people in this thread AND after the mentioned 'Guardian' article was published (an article which was a direct comment to news about the Conan TV show). Therefore, I never strayed off-topic on this thread.
I really wanted this series to happen -- that was my primary concern in all my interventions here. You, on the other hand, said you were "glad that it is cancelled", and this is where we part ways.
From this you said, I understand politics is what interests you much more then Conan, so you want Conan to adapted according to your political views. I am on the completely opposite side: I wish for more Conan adaptations, independently of the fact where on the political spectrum the people that are adapting it are. In short: if Mel Gibson was serious about making a Conan movie, I would be interested. On the other hand, if Margarethe von Trotta said she wanted to make a Conan movie, I would again be hardly waiting to see it.
Once again you are wrong and like I've seen you do in numerous other posts with other members you misinterpret what I've said and take it out of context (I think you do this purposefully). I don't want Conan made with Jennifer Salke at the helm because I fear that she would have done everything in her power to turn it into Conan the Soymerrian. I stand by this statement. I'm glad its cancelled with Salke at the helm. As for Mel Gibson making a Conan movie I think that would be awesome.

The whole Marvel Creative Universe is pretty much a PG-rated thing, isn’t it?

That is exactly what I said you said. You are simply trolling again, or your reading leaves something to be desired? ...And that (what you said) is also the reason why I wrote what I did i.e. that you are more interested in promoting your political agenda and less interested in Conan. Which comes from you not wanting to see a version of Conan that doesn't coincide with your politics, because of which you said you are are glad that they cancelled the show. Which is, by the way, extremely narcissistic. And misguided, too, because Conan is sword and sorcery first and foremost, and not about politics.

I think the most likely would be Disney/Marvel but not any time in the near future, maybe after the Red Sonja movie. I think the Red Sonja movie is a complication for Conan returning to screen anytime soon, if RS is a dud it may sour the market for Sword and Sorcery movies but if it is a hit they may wait a year or two so it doesn't look like they are trying to ride the coattails. That said I do think we'll see an animated Conan movie in a year or two if the new Marvel comics do well.

No rotoscoping though.

Depends. Starz might work. They did Spartacus. HBO may do it to replace GoT (which ends next year) Starz would be great, they probably would go all in in terms of sex and violence but we would have to dial down our expectations regarding special effects and production values. I don't believe HBO would be interested in Conan at this point. The property isn't mainstream enough and they will be happy with their "Game Of Thrones" prequel series.

I'm with Megatron insofar that I would rather have no Conan series than a bad, "Conan light" series that makes the character unrecognizable. It's not about politics but about wanting to see ROBERT E. HOWARD's Conan.
I wish Nispel's Conan would not have been made. All it did was making even more people think they know all about Conan, that he's a generic s&s character who wants to avenge the slaughter of his parents.
I want to see the series and say "yeah, THAT's Conan! The badass that I've been admiring for 40 years."
