A little more info concerning Direct Market orders for Conan related books: Graphic NovelsSSOC Omnibus at 38 - not so bad considering the 4th Omnibus volume of Avengers come in at 44 and THANOS WARS INFINITY ORIGIN at 72, not bad at all. Comic BooksCtB seems to be doing OK, better than the 3rd issue of Captain Marvel at 58. I'm a little concerned about about the SSOC ranked at 70 already. Conan in Avengers No Road Home#6 appears to have sold out in all the comic shops in London and comes in at a very respectable 39. 35 CONAN THE BARBARIAN #4 39 AVENGERS NO ROAD HOME #6 48 AVENGERS NO ROAD HOME #4 51 AGE OF CONAN BELIT #1 53 AVENGERS NO ROAD HOME #5 55 AVENGERS NO ROAD HOME #7 70 SAVAGE SWORD OF CONAN #3 The full direct market sales/orders should be available tomorrow. Its ranks at 70 already because it is a subpar Conan comic. Its position in the list is very fair.

That's really impressive for the SSOC Omnibus.
CtB seems to be doing OK, for now - hopefully the orders stay close to/around the 40k mark.
I dunno about SSOC, it'll be interesting to see how the change of creators on SSOC will effect orders, I hope it can stay above 20,000, at least.

Any explanation why I never saw Red Sonja: Ballad of the Red Goddess on any weekly shipping or pull lists at stores such as Midtown Comics? It was as if it never came out. A shame to have missed it, as the Spanish version seemed impressive.

A shame to have missed it, as the Spanish version seemed impressive. I have seen copies in London comic book shops. Midtown Comics still have copies available online including the Roy Thomas signed edition: www.midtowncomics.com/search?rel=&cfr=t&cat=&q=Red+Sonja+Ballad+Of+The+Red+Goddess

Once again, thank you, although I still don't understand why it never seemed to ship to the actual stores.

Savage Sword shouldn't be a B title, and shouldn't have 6 issue arcs. It should be something different than than the main book. I hope Marvel realizes there isn't a need for Savage Sword in its current form. With the new creative team, it is as good as dead.

I know I've said this a few times, but, Marvel should've gone the original graphic novel route with the second Conan book. With superstar creative teams on each volume, something similar to the Glénat volumes. To give these books the ol' legacy numbering is an insult to the original SSOC run. I dunno how low sales have to get before they cancel or more likely relaunch SSOC, Marvel seem to be content with some books selling below the 20k mark.

Savage Sword should never be intended to be your regular comic book. Part of the success the original magazine had in the 70's was due to its different format. This new SSoC looks very ordinary. There is no feel to it.

Hopefully, CtB can get back a little closer to 40,000 issues a month. It'll be interesting to see what effect all the different creative teams will have on orders for SSOC.

The interest is there, but the product does not live up to it. You can see great sales of #1, but a considerable decline aftewards. I am not talking Belit because that comic for me is just a bad joke.
