At least the numbers are higher than DH's final days. I just wish the quality of the titles was higher and just more consistent.
The main title has an artist that isn't suited for S&S, SSoC is a victim of the B title blues, it could be so much more, and the Belit book is worse than Wood's run.
I really want the line to succeed, but it's not looking good. Once the books find their level the retailers will start slashing like crazy.

Although the figures look great against DH's final days it doesn't look so good compared with say their Conan #5 that sold 51,309 especially considering the hype with Marvel and all the variants they're putting out.

To show you how things have changed, everything outside of the Top 20 from last month sold less than that!

Sales are ok. The book is mediocre.

Not a bad start for Savage Avengers #1. We should have the full estimated sales for May in a couple of days time, probably on Monday:

Savage Avengers #1 and #2 have been my two favorite Conan comics of the Marvel relaunch, so I hope that book has some staying power. I just fear that when Mike Deadato leaves they'll get an artist that's not up to par for the next arc. I'm hoping Savage Sword finishes out it's 12 issues so Scott's serial can be finished, then it gets canned and replaced with something more deserving of carrying the title. Conan the Barbarian has been a cluster. When my favorite issue of that title is the King Conan: Vigilante fill-in, you know the book has problems. I love Zaffino's artwork and hope they bring him back for more issues. I'm wondering about relaunches, though.... I don't think Marvel will want to pull a DH and change the name of the book every 12-24 issues... but if the sales slump, you're right they just might have to. Plus they're Marvel, they can do basically whatever they want.

Marvel Conan should tank. It is so underwhelming.

Let's see if Marvel can change their approach to the Conan books soon. I think the Esad Ribic one-shot and the Roy Thomas & Alan Davis book sounds promising, of course that does not necessarily guarantee sales. Star Wars (66 issues) is currently the longest running Marvel book without a relaunch.

Take a few issues to see how SA goes , CtB slight increase -SA fans checking it out perhaps? SSOC steady , Belit sinking faster than one of the ships she sinks LOL , if Valeria doesn't do well can see AoC struggling to survive.

Not bad.
I think CtB needs to get a lot closer to 40k. Hopefully, the recent improvement in SSOC will eventually lead to higher sales/orders in the next couple of months. I think the real test for SA will come once Deodato leaves. The lack of quality & sales in the Belit series will not help the Valeria book - I think another problem is that most retailers don't really know anything about Valeria.
