Marvel should tap some of these guys that are still around and active for a special issue. One more for the road, if you will.

I gotta admit, I've got a bit of a soft spot for some of those issues by Don Kraar, Larry Yakata, Chuck Dixon, Ernie Chan and Gary Kwapisz. I recently read the issue adorned with the art of Dale Eaglesham (The Wrath of Crom, SSOC 157) and loved it. ... and another one that I've read recently (The Horned God, SSOC 162) with art by Jorge Zaffino. Great stuff.

Seems like many of the Filipino artists had a good handle on heroic fantasy art, artists like Ernie Chan. Always liked the Ernie Chan and John Buscema collaboration.

I really enjoyed Jesse Santos' work on the short lived Brothers of the Spear series...very good and the stories are pure pulp
