I've no interest how this turns out - now if we had a Red SonYa Vulture film that would be fine!

I am sure that a good Red Sonja movie could be made.
It's not going to, but it could ne done.
Whatever this is, it looks like it will be hot garbage.

I'm with you guys on this. When I heard this news earlier, I was pretty indifferent. But a Red Son ya film is another story...

It'd certainly fit into the zeitgeist, wouldn't it? Have her dad do a cameo, just keep the husband away from the blue paint on the set... Edit-I just thought about it after I mentioned Russ Tamblyn, his first big film was Samson and Delilah...70 years ago!

Another article with some more perspective here: collider.com/red-sonja-movie-director-jill-soloway/That an arguably "d-list" character like Red Sonja can have a movie in production whilst an iconic character like Conan gets sidelined by Hollywood Studios perhaps shows more about Hollywood's current sensibilities and preoccupations than it does about Conan himself.

Set in modern New York City, Soloway's Red Sonja is a Transgender, mixed race, teenager, who fights social injustice not with a sword, but with razor sharp "dialog".

And Red will be a reference to her Marxist political views rather than her hair, which will probably be purple, green or blue.
