My apologies if there has been a thread on this already. I searched and did not see one. My question is regarding the title: Robert E. Howard's Conan the Cimmerian Barbarian: The Complete Weird Tales Omnibuswww.amazon.com/dp/1635912725It is not mentioned in the description (in so far as I can tell), nor was it mentioned in the reviews, so I figured I would ask here. Does the omnibus contain the edited versions of Howard's tales as they originally appeared in magazine form, or do they contain the original versions as written by REH, as contained in the Del Rey collections? Any help would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance.

I picked this up just to have the Weird Tales version with the interior art, etc...
Not a bad package.

Thank you for that link. Reading the introduction, it certainly seems these are the (edited) stories as they were originally published in Weird Tales, as it is mentioned that the story "God in the Bowl" is not included in the omnibus, as it didn't originally appear in Weird Tales. (It was actually published in 1952 in another magazine, well after Howard's death.) I don't know why that should stop them, however, as they included non-Conan material in the omnibus. I personally would rather they had left the Kull and Solomon Kane stories out and put in the rest of the Conan stuff, but I understand the reasoning (even if I don't agree with it.)
