Apparently, at Howard Days, the guy from Cabinet Entertainment said the TV series that was dumped by Amazon might get done on the upcoming Disney streaming service.
Anyone who was there has more details?

Crom laughs at your Conan series.
I will ask The Four Winds for a good series.
Disney did a good John Carter, so....

Yes Hulu would make more sense.

I'm not worried about Disney nearly as much as I'm worried by The Cabinet. Star Wars Mandalorian trailer shows Disney+ looks like it is capable of producing something less Disney-ish. On the other hand, if I was working at The Cabinet, after all their promises (Conan movie, Conan Amazon TV series), I'd keep my mouth shut until something is dead certain i.e. until the production starts or similar. Of course, that is not how business works, and they need to produce promises in order to keep their market value up, their stocks, etc. And until I see something concrete, I'll be certain this and only this is what this promise/rumor is about.

Yeah, after what happened last year, it'd be best to keep quiet, have it much closer to set in stone, then let the word out. Once you name an outlet like that, then you raise expectations even though it's just one guy at Howard Days. Believe it when I see it seems to be the best approach.
I'll be interested to see how far the Mandalorian goes to push up against Disney+'s stated goal of being the family oriented outlet. They've made it pretty clear that they're avoiding the grim and gritty Netflix type Marvel shows. They could certainly do a good Conan show, it just likely wouldn't be a full throated version. At this point, if they do the Howard stories and generally get it close...I'll probably take it.

I've read a lot about this years Howard Days and haven't seen anything mentioned , not to say it wasn't , but I'm pretty sure neither Fredrik or Jay were there and I'd have thought it strange that anyone else would have announced it especially after last years news died a death.

Anyone who was there has more details? Yeah I'd be interested in who it was that said it, and what more he said. I personally think Cabinet has done a poor job on the tv/film front. REH's characters really deserve a better steward. As far as Disney is concerned, there is the Marvel connection. My guess is that if anything gets made (not at all sold on that yet) that it'd have little to do with REH. Also, Disney and Marvel are more woke than Amazon, so I'm not sure how they'd handle it with any sort of respect to the character. Plus, Disney owns everything. I'd imagine if they purchased the film rights from Cabinet and had any sort of success, they'd just buy out Cabinet. Not sure how great that'd be either. I am aware that this is pure unadulterated speculation

Supposedly it was one Michael Jacobsen, at the panel What’s New about REH. We will see when Ben Friberg publishes his video of this panel on Youtube.

Disney+ is an unknown at this point but I can't picture them doing the kind of Conan series we would want. Although the Mandolorian promotional material does look like it has potential.
If Disney bought Conan I doubt the Glenat graphic novels would be out there anymore, as Disney fights against public domain tooth and nail.

Must've been killer to lose the laptop right before, but he hit everything he had to. His TV/movie answer was exactly how it should be done.

Yeah, he did well, considering there's quite a bit going on these days - just not that much on TV/movie side of things, yet.
