I'm not familiar with Ablaze comics since they're new, and I'm wondering what the availability of this will be in local comic shops across the US (and if I'd have to special order it). I read that Charlie Adlard is working on a series for this company, so maybe the popularity will be larger than I'm thinking... Definitely pre-order or let your shop know ahead of time. Comic Shops are hurting and I doubt many owners will take a chance on a new company.

It looks they will also translate the essays by Patrice and include the Galleries from the Glenat editions, according to a post on the Ablaze facebook page, anyways. All that plus the prose from the original REH yarns, this'll be great.

The art of this adaptation never appealed to me. When I first saw the interior art work I thought it looked bad and generated no interest from me. I will still place this on my pull list of course! Mainly because I want to get the rest of the adaptations officially translated, ones which I actually have a desire to read .

Wait until you get a load of what Belit's crew look like Mindboggled, very abstract indeed. Still I enjoyed it though, but out of the six I have seen so far, this adaption was probably the lowest ranking for artwork for me. In saying that though, reading the preview pages in English is good, and I see that Conan has been given a very dry sense of humour, love it. It will be nice to read some Conan stories with European context.
If they are able to publish Frost Giant's Daughter, that one was my favourite for the artwork and colours.
The Glenat adaptions all each have their own distinct character and I can't say I have been disapointed yet.
I am thrilled that Ablaze are doing these adaptions and very happy that they are including the essays and galleries from the Glenat editions (as Hun previously mentioned), plus the original REH prose. These are going to be very good.

Is it bad that the Crisis on Infinite Earths (actually the second time this homage has been done with Conan and Belit) is the best cover of the bunch?

Is it bad that the Crisis on Infinite Earths (actually the second time this homage has been done with Conan and Belit) is the best cover of the bunch? Yeah, interesting for sure... I guess they're going to have a Superman cover homage each issue? Main cover a bit to stylized for my taste. Cover B is cool, good style, like the historic-appearing dress, but Conan doesn't look like Conan in the face to me. And Cover D is great detail, cool style, but it looks like some other completely unrelated fantasy painting, not even of Hyborian Age.

Things are not looking good for this title according to this post on the REH facebook page Scott Tee to Robert E. Howard Comics and Media News Has ABLAZE been legally BLOCKED from from publishing English editions of the French CONAN albums from GLENAT? They'd solicited 2 issues under the title THE CIMMERIAN. The text can still be seen in a Google cached version of their listings on Diamond distributing's PREVIEWSWORLD site at webcache.googleusercontent.com/search… , but current version of that redirects to their search page previewsworld.com/…/142596-CIMMERIAN-QUEEN-OF-BLACK… and if you click on the cached individual issues, they now come up "Item Not Found". I hope my suspicions are wrong!
