Self publishing and self distribution anyone, fingers crossed.
Heard a rumour Ablaze might go it alone with distibution. I really hope this is correct but I am not getting my hopes up.

They could I reckon reprint the complete Glenat album and perhaps distribute via Amazon and the like , and at least Amazon would probably stand up to Cabinet unlike Diamond. Can't see them publishing monthly as per their original plan as I believe Diamond pretty well have a monopoly on distributing to comic shops.

I got word from my LCS owner (who happens to be a huge R.E. Howard tragic, like we all are) who had sent an email to Ablaze inquiring about these books, and they have replied that they still are going ahead with it. He and I really hope this is still happening, time will tell of course, but good on them if they are not bowing to pressure. They have my money.

Just need word on how to get a hold of these: distribution, selling themselves?

That is what he did and they are coming apparently, fingers crossed.
So try that, I hope all goes well.

That may be the best way to get it done. It's available but not stepping on anyone's toes, however small that footprint would be. To stop something of this size may simply not be worth the effort, no matter how deep the pockets are.

This looks like it’s just for retailers, but if there’s a way for individuals to order I’m interested. ablazepublishing.com/retailerorderform.html

Of course they didn't, that was the whole point of the cease and desist. They knew Diamond would piss their pants.

I had my doubts about receiving my copies, but there was a brief period where the books were solicited before the cease and desist letter. I was hoping Diamond would have honored orders before the date of the letter. Should have known better.

Here's an update from Ablaze publishing concerning the Glenat adaptations: In advance of ABLAZE publishing the hotly anticipated and uncensored Queen of the Black Coast adaptation, we are sharing the first half of Robert E. Howard's public domain Cimmerian story upon which the comic is based. Look for further updates from ABLAZE on the publication of Queen of The Black Coast issue 1 adaptation! Coming soon...

I received an email from DCBS that they have spoken with Diamond who has put these on hold until the dispute is resolved rather than outright canceling them.
