A couple of years ago I found a website that offered page after page of information about the history of sword and sorcery comic books. It was arranged chronologically, and even went so far as to detail specific issues of Creepy and Eerie that contained S&S stories. It was an incredible resource.
Sadly I lost all my bookmarks in a freak accident a while back, and now I can't find that website anywhere. It's possible that it went offline, but if so, hopefully it's still available through archive.org
Does anyone know the site I'm talking about? Any info would be appreciated.
Swordandsorcery.org was a classic website in it's field for some fifteen years but went offline about a year ago. As you say it was a great repository of stories, info and essays on all things S+S, including hosting the old Flashing Blades ezine.
Emerald (John Hocking), Paul McNamee and Bruce Durham (Crom) who were all published there and are members of this forum may know more? It may be it will be back in a different form in the future, perhaps linked to the new Magician's Skull Magazine, but that's just a far off speculation.

Sorry Garbanzo, I too thought you were looking for more pages from THAT site.
Fansites are buried these days in search engine results, unfortunately. That and the passage of time, might make finding it difficult, but never say never. You are among a lot of like-minded people here who may recognize the site. Can you give a more in-depth description?
More details are sparse, it was a while ago that I last remember seeing the site...
I don't think it was a website dedicated to sword and sorcery comics - instead, I think it was a feature on a larger website. The feature was a series of many pages (dozens), all arranged by year, detailing every sword and sorcery comic, even including individual stories within anthology series like Creepy, Eerie, Heavy Metal, and the like. It has a description of each story/series.
It was very well done, with a lot more detail even then the excellent three-part sword and sorcery feature in Alter Ego.

"I'm looking for a resource I remember seeing a few years ago. It was the most comprehensive catalog of sword & sorcery comics I've ever seen. I'm pretty certain the website is gone (at least I haven't been able to find it after many hours of searching), but I'm hoping someone here as an old link, or remembers what it was called, so maybe I can dig it up on archive.org and save a local copy for reference.
I don't remember too many details. The site had a series of many pages (dozens), all arranged by year, detailing every sword and sorcery comic series ever published in English, going as far back as the old Malu and Crom stories from the 50s. It even included individual stories within anthology series like Creepy, Eerie, Heavy Metal, and the like. It had a description of each story/series, and maybe a cover image for each section, but I don't remember for sure. I seem to remember it was more of a bare-bones fan site than a polished commercial sort of thing. But it was years ago."

Don't know the link, but there is someone who might. G.W. Thomas over at Dark Worlds Quarterly is constantly posting about old sword and sorcery comics. Some of the stuff is really off-beat and I have no idea how he knows about so many of them - especially the one issue published in England back in 1950-something. Maybe he has that list. That would explain it. Hell, he might have created it.
Here is a link to the search results for his postings on "sword and sorcery comics":
