The Daughter of the Snows sequence in Crown of Iron is quite good, but the way Milius tied it into the Ice Worm was weird and didn't quite work.

That's right! I did remember something about a worm. tried to find the script online during my lunch break with no luck. Can you suggest a website to find and read movie scripts?

Hard to say what the final product would have been if the movie had gone into production, but here is a script for King Conan: Crown of Iron with Atali ( Daughter of the snows ) early on in the piece. There are elements of the haunting and seductive Atali, in some ways reminds me of the meeting between Conan and the Witch in CtB, but in a somewhat different context. screenplaysandscripts.com/script_files/K/King_Conan_Milius.pdf

That whole sequence was cut out of the rewrite, which I've never been able to find in full.

That whole sequence was cut out of the rewrite, which I've never been able to find in full. I doubt that rewrite would be much apreciated, since Millius kick out all unnatural elements of the story. Why would somebody do that... In something that should've been a Conan movie... It's a 64 dolars question. But, that didnt happend (for good or bad), so, who cares? After reading analysis few years back, I kinda tought that it would've been idiotic what second draft would do with story, especialy without supernatural elements and Kon's origin. Conan would find Kon as a baby during the war, and just adopt him of kindness of his heart. Original Crown of Iron wasnt REH's Conan, but that one still had a lot of more sence to it, and if nothing, would be pseudo-historic sword&sorcery mileu. Sometimes I wonder what was Millius thinking at the time...

Personally, I never take these old scripts too seriously. Without a movie having been made, they are all just drafts that most likely would have been subject to some changes during the filming anyway.
