Play loud. Heed the moaning, howling guitar sustain in the background. Feel abruptly stronger and able to get back up and take more of whatever knocks life is handing out.

Hey y’all, during quarantine, I wrote and recorded this album as a one-man band. The sound is a bit like Hawkwind, Sabbath, Monster Magnet, Motörhead (and many more influences) but check out track 4; it’s a psychedelic heavy metal adaptation of “The Hour of the Dragon.” Hope you dig it! sonusrocks.bandcamp.com/album/worlds-undreamed-of

I never listen to metal, but I discovered Visigoth today, and I can't get enough. This is amazing.

I recently listened to some music by Kate Bush, and it occurred to me that she was a musical genius.

About 20 years back there was an unexpected resurgence of strong, heavy rock. Seems to me that this band was one of the highlights. Gets fiercer as it goes, blossoming into a real frenzy by the close.
Played it for an unsuspecting co-worker many years ago. He said knowing that I liked it “changed his opinion” of me. So there’s that.

I occasionally like finding and listening to some of the ( less played these days ) hits from the 70's.

Various tracks by the South African band Hot Water. They kind of throw pop rock and traditional African music into a blender, and the result is kind of like Paul Simon meets the British Invasion ... in three languages.

The latest song from Iron Maiiden. Very cool apocalyptic/rebirth themed video.
