I read #1 and #2, the artwork is actually pretty good. I like Pizzari's style, but the characterization of Agnes is off too much. Which is a shame because the actual plot isn't bad.

Anyone heard anything about this series?

I gather this must be a lower priority title for them. Still not sure if everything that was running before the shutdown has been accounted for.

Not a big surprise... I can't believe this was greenlit in the first place.
Post-pandemic, Marvel needs to really watch what they publish going forward.

I think the funniest part of what they cancelled was the Rise of Skywalker adaptation. I remember they made a big deal of not releasing it at the time because they didn’t want to spoil it, blah blah blah. I read the story on CBR and thought this wasn’t out yet?!? I think someday this one will slip out under some guise as a trade, market it as a ‘lost’ book or something like that.
So in the end Dark Agnes fared worse than Kull Eternal (obviously different circumstances). Five issue minis based on REH characters don’t have a great track record. I think at least one of DH Solomon Kane minis was 5 issues and felt too long, but at least it made it out.

Disappointed to see this, though my final opinion of this storyline could have gone either way. They had to have had a lot of this produced by the time they pulled the plug. I think the writing and cover art for the series were completed. I'm not sure how much had been paid for, but other COVID-interrupted titles were finished as graphic novels. Following the Serpent War series that (re)introduced a number of Howard's characters, this feels like a major retrenchment.

Has anyone heard of any updates regarding a possible trade paperback for the completion of the Marvels Dark Agnes series? It has been nearly a year now and it seems a bit silly to have it written and not publish it. It would be lovely to see it finished, perhaps even add, (as Hun suggested in the Robert E.Howard's Savage Sword thread), the Dark Agnes stories from the Dark Horse series into one volume, and throw in the Conan Serpent War as well.
I'd definitely buy it, as it would basically have the complete Dark Agnes illustrated stories all in one volume.

Unfortunately it's probably out of sight, out of mind. I think it's likely the "next" issue is basically done but the rest may not be past the writing stage.
There's still part 2 of Gods of Bal Sagoth sitting somewhere over at DH that still needs to get out.
