It looks CtB #88 will be the Direct Market cover (I will add the regular cover when we get the solicitation) Conan The Barbarian: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus Vol. 4 (Again I'll add the description when we get the solicitation from Marvel) Collects Conan the Barbarian (1970) #84-115 & Annual #4-5, What If? (1977) #13This is from the Marvel May-Aug Preview Catalog and info that can be found at the Near Mint Condition youtube channel. Here's a link to the video: At least we get the Roy Thomas run in 4 volumes. It'll be interesting to see what the sales will be like beyond the Roy Thomas run. What's next? King Conan: The Original Marvel Years Omnibus? I hope so.

I'd like it if they skip the non-Thomas stuff and continue with the second Thomas run in Vol. 5.
They should do the same with the SSC omnibuses. A King Conan omnibus would be great too.
I'd love to have a complete Roy Thomas Conan omnibus set.

Nice cover.
I suspect it is something not just anybody can have access to, but does anybody know the website Omar uses when he does these preview videos?

I think he's getting a preview of the Hachette catalog, that's where those pages come from. It sounds like he's getting the access from David Gabriel at Marvel.

I'd love to have a complete Roy Thomas Conan omnibus set. Volume 5 will be their test case to see how a non-Roy volume sells. I have to believe they'll plow through the whole of both Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword, taking the possible lower selling volumes in the middle as a balance to the higher selling ones now. I'd guess to look for a King Conan omni after V4 of Savage Sword is announced. This'll keep the Roy content going one omni longer.

This is the "Epic" type line of the series. They'll split the omnis in half and maybe lose some of the extras...or gain some if they find something else to put in (like maybe the BWS recolored issues from GS Conan and the Treasury Editions).

I see. The fact that they name it "the complete collection" indicates that they at least intend to present the full run of CTB in this line.

I'll be loving re-reading these stories. The nostalgia factor is strong with this volume.

I wonder how this is going to do against Peter David's Hulk Omni #1. Any predictions?

I wonder how this is going to do against Peter David's Hulk Omni #1. Any predictions? I dunno. But the Conan omnibus editions have sold incredibly well in the Direct Market for Marvel. Only the 4th volume of the Amazing Spider-Man sold better last year. This volume (CtB omni 4) will be released in July. The 3rd CtB omnibus will be in comic book shops on Wednesday.

A good # for the David Hulk omni would be like 1200. A number like that for Conan would almost be a disappointment.
