Urgh, Conn! The bane of my enjoyment of Conan comics.

I would love to see Belit again, she was the ultimate bad girl, good girl. Forget about a Red Sonja movie or Conan netflix series that will bomb. Just team up Conan and Belit in the ultimate heroic fantasy flick set on the Hyborian high seas.

I'd love to see a 3 hour epic movie based on the Queen of the Black Coast.

On second thoughts, you gotta be careful what you wish for. These day Belit's origin would no doubt be probably inspired by Tini Howard's Age of Conan: Belit mini series!!!

Been trying to catch up on my Conan comics... finished Zub's 4 part Crucible storyline and thought it was quality Conan comics pastiche. The story was decent and the art was a pleasant surprise. I really hope Antonio has more Conan in his future.
I'm looking forward to reading the next two issues focusing on this blade Conan looted and then the Khitai arc.

In my opinion the arc about the blade starts off a little weak but after a few issues it feels like classic Conan, almost reads like a comic straight out of the 70s/80s. Zub's run is easily the best Conan we got since Marvel regained the rights.

Read #17 and #18 and I enjoyed them. These were quality Conan pastiche, the writing reminded me of classic SSOC issues.
If only Zub was the writer on this from issue #1....looking forward to the Khitai arc.

Yes, if I was an editor picking a writer for a new Conan book it would be Zub's name at the top of the list, followed by Cullen Bunn. They have proven to be the best Conan pastiche comic writers since Busiek and Truman.

What did everyone here think of this short tale in Marvel's CtB #300 of a very old King (or rather ex-king) Conan fighting the Devourer of Souls? I really enjoyed it, think it's one of the best of the last lot of Marvel stories and works well as a depiction of Conan's last ever day. It seems it's been quite a while since he sailed off at the end of Conan of the Isles, perhaps almost twenty years.

I admit to being of two minds about attempts by Marvel to tie into the original Marvel Conan continuity. On the one hand, it's very much on-theme for Marvel writers in the 2010s-2020s to dive into their parent's comics and revisit older characters and storylines. The thing is, Marvel had kind of already done that in the 1990s with the series-of-miniseries and Conan the Savage, and the same problems come up: instead of writing stories that new readers can jump into, you're writing call-backs to stories only older - really older - Conan fans would get, and the continuity had already been broken up between multiple series which were all out of print (although Marvel was already collecting CtB and SSoC in the hardback omnibuses).
It isn't badly written or illustrated, and I personally liked the revisit to a classic Marvel Conan villain, but I was buying the issues back when they originally came out, so it hits me different.
