Okay, so what with the threat of all-out war heating up between the US and Iran, which will surely drag in the UK, Western Europe, Russia and China, what can be done to get through the nuclear nightmare that is surely coming our way uncomfortably soon???

Nothing. At this point I am in no shape to deal with the apocalypse. My only hope is to die quickly or gain a beneficial mutation.

Frankly, Iran would receive far more harm than it could dish out were it to declare an all out war. Worst case scenario is likely an increase in regional tensions rather than the country getting glassed.

Prepare to be prepared. Have a couple of weeks food ready. Have some idea of a plan for various scenarios. It's more likely to be a climate event, IMHO, than nuke but these days, who knows!

I'm more worried about the zombie apocalypse! Terry, what do you think of the film '28 Days Later' from Alex Garland and Danny Boyle? It's a rather original take on the zombie outbreak story. And with regards to a possible Iran/US conflict, sabres will be rattled, verbal protests in the strongest possible manner will be made on both sides, but Iran isn't stupid enough to kill ANY US or allied personnel. Trump has said on twitter: "These Media Posts will serve as notification to the United States Congress that should Iran strike any U.S. person or target, the United States will quickly & fully strike back, & perhaps in a disproportionate manner." I think the meaning of this is abundantly clear...

The problem is that Trump's an idiot with a small temper. He's stupid enough to provoke war and continue it.

I highly doubt there will be "all out war" between the US and Iran. The shadow games of their proxies versus the US proxies will step up and there will quite possibly be more drone strikes, though.

Not if the post apocalypse is anything like this. I'd drive into the blast to avoid that future.

TBH can't remember too much about it. Never really much of a zombie fan until I discovered The Walking Dead comic.

Never really much of a zombie fan until I discovered The Walking Dead comic. The 'Zombies' in 28 Days Later are actually still alive and suffering from a plague virus that strips the victim of virtually any intelligence, and increases their animosity to that of rabid animals. I thought the film was exceptional. Not your un of the mill zombie flick...
