Yeah, Amazon shipping is an absolute nightmare. If its not a box that is 4 sizes too big, it is a damned padded envelope. I've bought a couple $100 cover price books recently that were shipped in padded envelopes and ruined. They've been shipping a lot of things in just padded envelopes!
I'm not sure how they continue to remain at the top. Their terrible shipping is well-known and is the butt of a lot of jokes. They don't even discount a lot of new releases anymore. Especially comic book trades and graphic novels.
One thing is, though, their return policy is decent. If something arrives damaged you can exchange it with no hassles. Sometimes they even tell you to keep the damaged item.

I'm polarized. While I don't care for that art design in my Conan universe, I have actually sat here staring at that pic for more than a few seconds. Good thing that chic is muscular or else she would have back problems.

So, 8 more pages (probably 2 of them full page ads) = a dollar more? I remember when milestone issues meant something and you got something for that 30 or 75¢ extra. Of course, I get it: speculators and collectors will be buying this too, in addition to all of the variants covers a lot of people simply must buy = a whole hell of a lot of extra profit.
