Apart from a few digital only things from DC, there doesn’t seem to be any releases digitally of something that will also have a physical issue. Going back to the Decline thread, the companies are apparently fine with holding off on the 5-10% digital sales until the physical version comes out as well. There may be other reasons as well.
If we get a second wave disrupting distribution Marvel & DC will have to consider publishing comics in digital first. Even if digital don't sell well, they'll have to change their sales model.
I think they should have done more this time around anyway, but there may be other issues that wouldn't allow it just yet. At some point, they may have to start weighing whether some cash flow is preferable or necessary to none.
