Gamma World knew all about post apocalyptic bunnies. I ran Mutant Crawl Classics, a Gamma World knock off. I allowed the players to take a Savage beating at the hands of the mutant bunnies. It was most entertaining.

As if you needed more proof that a huge all terrain armored van is the best way to travel the post apocalyptic landscape; Damnation Alley 1977's Landmaster.

I think the future is going to be very barbaric, but as long as you have wheels you will be able to navigate the post apocalyptic wastelands.

If you think that is crazy, check out this Wikipedia article.
A 4 year war of attrition between 2 troops of chimps with the eventual winners then being attacked themselves by an even bigger troop.

I'd hate to be an alien stuck on a post apocalypse Earth and trying to find spare parts to fix my damaged spacecraft. I suppose having the ability to create temporal time bubbles might help somewhat.

Locusts seem to appear in a number of medieval manuscripts and iconography. The Apocalypse of 1313 by the illustrator Colin Chadewe www.medievalists.net/2015/02/apocalypse-1313/'Set against a gold ground whose unreal luminosity confirms the fulfillment of the divine project, the drama unleashed by opening the pit of the abyss carries on inexorably. The thirsty sun and the mournful moon are bystanders to the massacre inflicted by the hellish locusts with stings on their tails in close formation trampling down humans with bleeding wounds. Their mission is to torment heretics and evil believers for five months by inflicting stings like those of scorpions but whose pain is insufficient to bring about a fervently desired death. Two groups of men at prayer flank these horse-like monsters in brown or ash-grey fleecy gowns, with winged knees, as described in the text: their hair braided in two long plaits frames their grimacing human traits with lion-like jaws, beneath heavy, sparkling crowns.'

Medieval post apocalyptic visions. Locusts of the Apocalypse. the plague of man-goats in sweaters? Yeah, I noticed that, the images don't seem to represent actual locusts, but the term is given to certain symbolic creatures from the Biblical book of Revelations on the apocalypse. 'Revelation 9:1-12 1 The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. 2 When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. 3 And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. 4 They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. 6 During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them. 7 The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. 8 Their hair was like women's hair, and their teeth were like lions' teeth. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer). 12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.' www.christianity.com/bible/niv/revelation/9-1-12

It seems that the scorpion like tail with the barb is used as a sting to torment sinners. Some modern day evangelists, and this includes includes individuals such as rapper, record producer and 2020 presidential candidate Kanye West, believe that they are metaphors for contemporary events. Abaddon or Apollyon, the angel of the abyss who leads the locusts, translates from the old Hebrew to mean perish or destroy. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AbaddonApollon battling Christian in John Bunyan's The Pilgrim's Progress.

Anyway, much of this starts to get into the religious sphere outside the scope of this thread, but if you ever want to look at some of the contemporary images of the Biblical apocalypse check out some of the work by organisations such as the Seventh Day Adventists. Thinking about it, it seems that the many headed beasts depicted by todays artists are modern interpretations of the same thing realised in old manuscripts by medieval artists.
