The Glenat/Ablaze books have me yearning for more European s&s comics, but I honestly don't know of any.
Surely there's some good stuff out there?

Slaine comics published by 2000 AD. I haven't read them but they're quite famous. Glenat have also published 3 Elric albums as of now, which are absolutely amazing. A fourth one is on the way and will complete the initial arc. I've also heard of the Thorgal series but I think it is more medieval science fantasy than traditional sword & sorcery, but it is worth checking out. These recs are the popular ones, but I'm guessing there's a lot excellent European sword & sorcery comics out there.

Slaine is great, although I haven't read the more recent stuff.
Thorgal springs to mind. I've not read it and don't know much about it other than it features fantasy and sci fi elements and is set in the Viking era. It also has English translations available.
Not Sword & Sorcery but I've recently read a few volumes of The Scorpion, a historical swashbuckler set in 18th century Rome, which was good.

.... I've also heard of the Thorgal series but I think it is more medieval science fantasy than traditional sword & sorcery... I can confirm it. Thorgal's art is awesome, though.
I could suggest KAYAN, lots of "sword" and less "sorcery". Short stories, with slow character-development and very simple threads. Very old stories, probably in Italian, only.

I enjoyed Slaine: The Horned God series, a 2000 AD favourite of mine. Celtic mythos twisted into all sorts of weird and wonderful ways.
