Is this going to be a series, bimonthly or quarterly? Calling it #1 gives me this impression...
Are those pics supposed to be variant covers and if so, how will they be labeled and who are the artists? IIRC, I'd have to ask at least a month in advance with my comic book store, if there are variant covers.
My guess right now is a one shot, but I'd be glad to be wrong. Marvel has a history of numbering things which had only one issue (Iron Man/Sub-Mariner #1, several Annuals and Giant Sizes through the years).

Calling it that gives me that impression as well but all of those covers are variants.

I'd say it's definitely a one-shot, but I'd be happy to be wrong and see Marvel keep this going with the same level of talent.

Blood, Bêlit, more in King-Size Conan #1 preview from Marvel With words from former Daredevil showrunner Steven S. DeKnight on his comic book debut www.gamesradar.com/uk/blood-belit-more-in-king-size-conan-1-preview-from-marvel/Conan made his comic book debut 50 years ago, and now Marvel Comics is celebrating that anniversary with an over-sized one-shot anthology called King-Size Conan #1.
"By Crom, you've never seen a celebration like this - marking 50 years of Conan the Barbarian in comics!" Marvel's solicitation for this anthology boldly claims. "Now get ready to celebrate 50 years of Conan with an oversize special spanning the breadth of Conan's life and times by the most dazzling array of creative talent ever assembled in one book to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth!"
Former Daredevil showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will make his comic book debut with this anthology, and calls it "a dream come true."
“My love affair with Marvel Comics began before I could read. I used to look at the incredible art and make up my own stories," DeKnight says. "Now, quite a few lifetimes later, I have the honor of actually writing my own story for the House of Ideas. And not just any story! Conan! Barbarian! Destroyer! King! To say this is a dream come true would be a criminal understatement. I couldn’t think of a more satisfying character to make my debut with between the pages of Marvel Comics. I hope you enjoy this adventure as much as I did!”King-Size Conan #1 will include five stories by the following authors: DeKnight and artist Jesús Saiz Writer Roy Thomas and artist Steve McNiven Writer Kurt Busiek and artist Pete Woods Writer Chris Claremont and artist Robert de la Torre Writer/artist Kevin Eastman

The art in the preview is gorgeous. Apparently they won't cover a King Conan story which is weird considering the title, the main cover and the whole premise was to depict a different stage in Conan's life.

It's kind of the play on words (King Size instead of the revived Giant Size), but you'd expect at least a short one in there.

This is how they shoulda launched Conan at Marvel. OH yes! the best thing I've seem Marvel done with Conan since they regained the rights. If they do keep an oversized comic series like this going like annuals or something, I'd definitely read it.

An obvious choice would have been to have Aaron do a short story to raise interest in the upcoming King Conan comic. Anyway, this looks great. It would definitely be nice to see more of this kind of thing. They're publishing a black and white anthology comic for Wolverine right now, it would be great to see a similar endeavour for Conan!

Now that's the quality of art I expect from a Conan comic. I surmise that this will top anything they've released in this relaunch of theirs so far.
