Were there any big annoucements, notably re: the TV series and the future pastiches? My understanding was that Fred Malmberg was there.

The usual from Fred: Tv/Film: Things are happening, but I can't tell you yet. They were working on an El Borak series which may or may not still be happening. No announcement on who is going to be writing the new pastiches. New games coming, including a Red Nails game.
The REH Foundation Press is slowly bringing back into print all the OOP titles. Collected Letters of REH Vol. 1 made its surprise debut at HDs. The other 2 Letters volumes and 3 volumes of REH's Poetry are ready and waiting on Mark Wheatley to do the covers. After that, Adventures in Science Fantasy, Swords of the North, Steve Harrison's Casebook, and Tales of Weird Menace should also make their appearance once the cover art is done.

Guess the back to print books is the best news out of this year. Will be looking to do AiSF when it's back, luckily I have the other three.

Patience is a virtue... Fred needs to find the right writers for the pastiches. I guess no one wants to read another "Conan of Venarium"...

I forgot that Fred did say they had the first Conan scripts in and they are fantastic.
I hope they are as good as Condal's Amazon scripts are supposed to be.

I also hope things move a slight bit faster than its former cohorts at Amazon, LOTR and WOT, are taking. They were all announced right around the same time as each other (I think WOT was a little later and Conan was dropped soon after), and we're still waiting to actually see them on screen. This September will be around 1 year since the Netflix announcement, please don't let it take another two to get on screen.

Thank you all for the news. There wasn’t much said so far about HD 2021.
I am looking forward to order the “Letters” book. I haven’t got the first edition. I don’t know that it is worth the trouble to have new covers painted. I liked the old ones a lot. And if the books are ready and only the covers are missing, well… I am not a great fan of dust jackets with coloful illustrations anyhow. I usually remove them and keep them in the closet.
I am looking forward to more news about the Netflix series. I don’t suppose it will be as good as it should. And it will never replace the written word of Howard, but they could surprise us. Hopefully Howard’s name will be up front and it will bring new readers.

Robert E Howard Days 2021 Cimmeria reading
Description: It's an annual tradition to have a reading of Two-Gun Bob's poems every year at Bob Howard Days in Cross Plains, and it always opens with a multi-language reading of "Cimmeria". Please forgive the unsteadiness, but I forgot my tripod and was also waving mosquitos away!
