Just out for your Hanukkah/Christmas/Saturnalia/Sol Invictus wish-list: Volume Three of The Collected Letters of Robert E. Howard in hardback and paperback: rehfpress.com/books/ultimate/tclv3/ (links to Amazon US and Europe included) In addition to updating the letters, this volume continues with publishing all of the known drafts of REH's letters to Lovecraft, a couple published for the first time, as well as some new letters, and "The Beast From the Abyss", REH's essay on cats that he included in a letter to Lovecraft. Hopefully we'll have Poetry Vols. 2 and 3 out for the Holidays, too.

All 3 volumes of REH Poetry: The Collected Poetry of Robert E. Howard, Volume 1Out now!$44.99 Hardcover Robert E. Howard wrote poetry. He wrote it first in life, last in life, and throughout life. Howard completed around 300 stories for commercial sale and worked on 300 more. But he wrote over 700 poems, virtually none of them meant for commercial markets. His first publication outside of school was his poem “The Sea”, published in a local paper. His famous “All fled, all done…” couplet, borrowed from Viola Garvin, was allegedly the last words he typed. And in between, poetry gushed from him.
Howard poured himself into his poetry, undisguised. What amazed him, what drew him, what scared him, what sickened him. He wasn’t worried about what we the eventual readers would think of him as an author. And perhaps this is true of any real poet, the fearlessness of saying what one really wants to say.
This three-volume set, The Collected Poems of Robert E. Howard includes all of Howard’s poetry that has been found, including all the earlier draft versions, where such exist. This is indeed the Ultimate collection of Robert E. Howard’s poetry.

Might be awhile as a couple of the original editions are still in stock at the REHFP , perhaps they could sell off those , and others that are still in stock , cheap so they can get the ultimate editions out asap.

PROBLEMS WITH REH LETTERS VOL. 3
Don't order a copy of it, yet. We just found out that the photos in it got corrupted and didn't print out in the book. We are working on fixing this and will announce when it can be ordered. If you have already ordered a copy and can cancel it, please do so.
For those of you who can't cancel your order, we will make it right.

Looks like Amazon have twigged that they probably got the offer wrong for the Letters Volume 2 HC but thankfully mine arrived at the lower price before they put it back up!

I have finished reading the Steve Harrison Casebook paperback. Enjoyed it, there was less detective work, but all of the stories have a compelling mystery and horror like atmosphere. The story in the collection, Graveyard Rats is killer, straight up weird western tale.
