That was cool, we should cut that axe snippet and put it up on the HEMA western martial arts thread. Nicely done bro. With all my blessing, brother π€ And, thank you for your words of praise, means a lot. By the way, yes... Swinging an atlantean sword is not an easy task. Give me a normal and valid sword, by Crom, and I can do it much better π And yes, there are still few barbarians among us here π Some of us strongly advocate life outside the city, physical activity in the service of strength and staying in nature as often as possible. Add to that a little bit of wrestling, fencing, horseback riding and old tribal clothing on special occasions, and life becomes very interesting. With all of those interests bet you have attented the βJust Outβ festival outside Manasija monastery. Not sure if Europe is still hosting them at this point in time. Myself, from an early age I have been fascinated with the old crafts and tools, ways of working wood and steel, and hence my interest in hobby bladesmithing and tool making. My influences have come from both history, fantasy and the rustic simplicity from contemporary village smiths hammering blades in tribal smithies in rural settings from all over the world, but always with functionality in mind. I forged this large dagger from simple carbon steel, the blade section is about 14 inches long.

I also customise weapons and tools. I hated the overly round point on this sword from an old buy, so I ground the point, making it more efficient for thrusting. I have used it to slay plastic water bottles Currently, I am in the process of forging a rustic looking sword, loosely based on late medieval cut and thrust designs. Will post it once I have completed the project. Had to try a few things, postimage, to host the image from pics taken at home. Not as easy as just copy and paste.

It's a beautiful place, if you ever want to get there, I'm at your service as a friend. The last time I participated was in 2018. Last year, there was no organization, this one was, but unfortunately I missed the opportunity due to obligations. By the way, my childhood wish was to be a blacksmith. Unfortunately, it did not materialize. So, I'm taking my hat off to you, my friend. It's an impressive skill. I like the dagger. It is beautifully made, I believe, as are the rest of your works. Do you sell maybe? Such things are sold very nicely here - there are a lot of collectors of old weapons, knives and blades of various kinds.

I once made some good money from selling large hammers that I refurbished for blacksmithing so that they wouldn't have any sharp corners and leave dings on work done on the anvil, a few cheap swords that I stripped the hilt components off, customised and sold the blades as preforms to people in my local area, but hardly got anything for that. The craft is a hobby for me, so mostly just stuff for myself and family. I should probably make a few more pics of my ground forge, forged chisels and anvil and stick it on the weapons/shop thread. If other smiths, and backyard 'bladesmiths' like me, start posting, I might contribute something. Tell you what BlackHeart, if things go back to half normal and I end back in Europe again, will take you up on the offer, would be fun to participate in a medieval bash up, barbarian style, just need to coincide it with the event. I like that short film/sketch you made, dark humor, Tarantino style.

I'm sure good 'old Phork would think it was cool too, if he had any thoughts.

Thanks Char-Vell.
As for our favourite heroic fantasy/planetary adventure zombie, as long as Phork gave me the silver one when it was needed.

Thank you, brother πβοΈπ Old clip from Tiktok ... Redesigned in yt video. I was wondering if I should post it at all, as I was terribly out of shape there, my muscle mass dropped drastically, and my body fat percentage increased. But I said what the Hell! Let's do it! It was fun filming it with my girlfriend. And, I'm glad you like it. The opinion of the people from this forum is something I highly value.

You can almost this into a Balkan thread, art, history and fun facts, a little like what Hun has done with the Steppe one. What reminded of this one was the Australian Open we have going at the moment down here in Melbourne, been following the matches, Novak Djokovic will be playing the semi final today, an all rounder, amazing on court talent with an uncanny geometric ability to place the hits in the corners, you see the surprised look in the faces of his opponents who look back at their coaches shrugging almost saying 'what do you want me to do here, can't stop this guy'. Hope the hamstring injury doesn't get in the way at this crucial time, Novak gets this tournament and that will tie him with Nadal at 22 slams, another one or two more majors and the Serb will score the greatest Open wins ( men's tennis ) and set a new benchmark in tennis. Definitely the GOAT.

Got that right. Watched the French Open final the other night, Novak just scored his 23rd slam, beating Casper Ruud, now highest in men's tennis singles titles history. A grand achievement, and this is not taking into account all his other records, including being the first man to win at least three slam titles at all the major tournaments. When it comes to professional tennis he is definitely the GOAT. All he needs now is another two major open wins and he will score the all time greatest in both men's and women's tennis, edging past Margaret Court's record of 24 grand wins.
