Opus Comics continues to expand its library of comics based on the works of painter Frank Frazetta with Frank Frazetta’s Mothman, a new series by Emmy nominee Tim Hedrick (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and artist Andrew Mutti (Bunny Mask) that will launch in May. The first issue will have two main covers, one by Mutti and one featuring the original painting by Frazetta that inspired the comic, and it will be previewed in the Opus Comics FCBD offering, FrazettaVerse #0. In 1966 and 1967, numerous sightings of a seven-foot-tall humanoid creature with wings and glowing red eyes were reported around Point Pleasant, West Virginia. Since then the creature, dubbed the Mothman, has been the subject of several books and a documentary film, and Frazetta did a painting of it in 1980. The comic will take that painting as a starting point for the very strange story of the Mothman. Last year Opus Comics launched its FrazettaVerse, a shared universe of comics inspired by Frazetta’s work icv2.com/articles/news/view/53320/opus-comics-expands-frazettaverse-frank-frazettas-mothman

So, apparently Death Dealer #15 will be the last issue for now. If you haven't got it yet, you should take a look at the series, it also comes out in three TPB. BUT immediately after #15 in August, there will be a new Death Dealer series in September, titled Death Dealer 2099: www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/JUL231014I guess it will be in style of the futuristic Marvel 2099 comics (I believe especially Spider-Man had a long run in this world) - and while I only ever read the Conan 2099 one-shot (which I liked), the cover already looks cool and after the great Death Dealer main series, I'll be getting this one too.

If I was going to set Death Dealer in the future I would set him in something similar to the post apocalyptic wastelands storyarc of the Old Man Logan series.

I have every issue of the series so far, but haven't read a page yet.....
I will pass on the 2099 series, though.
