Chuck Dixon mentions an announcement about Conan on his YouTube channel in April. I doubt he'll be writing the main series. I'd surmise, he'd more likely be writing something like the SSoC (this time a black & white magazine). Ask Chuck Dixon #103Something like SSoC? Don't mess with me man...

That's why I can't see Dixon on the main book. But I can see him on SSoC - as long the editor keeps an eye on him I don't think Titan will make the same mistake as Marvel. It'll be magazine size and in black & white.

It'll be magazine size and in black & white. Your lips to the Gods ears, my friend.

Okay, three months later. Anyone heard anything about Chuck Dixon's involvement (if any) with the Titan series?

Thanks Boboldman. Arkhaven also published 3 chapters of an illustrated adaptation of Jewels of Gwahlur. Both illustrated stories were started in August. Do you think Heroic Signatures/Cabinet/Funcom/ Tencent put a stop to them? Jewels of Gwahlur link: www.arkhaven.com/comics/fantasy/the-jewels-of-gwahlur

Maybe they didn't generate enough traffic? I mean here we are, diehard Conan fans and just not are learning about this.
But I wouldn't put it past the IP Holding Company to put a stop to new adventures of Conan like Dixon's.

I talked to a lawyer, the can try to stopped them but most likely will ended up loosing the trail as public domain is absolute BUT the continuous batings and threads from Heroic/Funcom/Tencent could make people scary of doing it because they will loose a lot of money with lawers

The Siege of the Black CitadelWritten by Chuck Dixon THE BLACK CITADEL MUST FALL
The mad emperor Strabonus sits upon the imperial throne of Koth, a danger to his subjects and Koth’s neighbors alike. When his cousin, Prince Xathomidas, raises an army in rebellion, he finds great support within and without the empire. Veteran legionaries, gold, and mercenaries flow into the prince’s camp, including one barbarian sword-for-hire from the frigid North. The towering Black Citadel stands between the rebel prince and the throne he seeks, and when its siege threatens to continue well into winter, the prince orders a small team of sell-swords to find a way into the ancient fortress called Talas K’rith.
But the Black Citadel is guarded by things more terrible than walls and swords.
THE SIEGE OF THE BLACK CITADEL is the first in the new series from The Legend Chuck Dixon, Chuck Dixon’s Conan, which is based on the public domain character of Robert E. Howard’s Conan.

Man, that cover could have been plucked right out of the 80's. Love it.

I love how they try to stress "public domain character"! I'll be surprised if this actually hits the shelves without some more talking to Heroic.

I think as long as they stick to the elements. Of Conan that appear in the public domain tales they're fine but I'm not a lawyer.

They are not using any trademarks so they can publish it but lets wait what happend, originally Ablaze had issues but they ended up publishing the Glenat adaptations and Planeta Comic just started to publish them in Spanish.
Also I loved the cover and the idea of Conan sieging a citadel
