Kail! You demonic Berserker, you! I was getting ready to post this same fascinating find! I love ship wrecks. You've got to be on your toes around here, Chris. But you're right, this find's a beaut. ...... And to the victor...the spoils.

And to the victor...the spoils. One tries one's best. ( *places laurel wreath on head.*) ...... (*Chris leers like the Joker and tries not to look like a spoil sport*) Haha!

Dang that's awesome. I visited the U-505 in Chicago last week. What a treat. I love maritime history.

I thought this was cool. The Nazca Lines are mysterious as all get out. I have a story that takes place in Peru, and studied these because they make an appearance. It's cool and amazing that just when we think we know it all, we figure out something new... Mysterious Nazca Lines reveal their secrets

That is in interesting article Deuce. I have associated the Philistines with the so called 'sea peoples' of the Mediterranean. It is a pity that it did not go further into the DNA findings. I often come across some of these article that list broad definitions such as 'European DNA' but they never list the actual Y dna or mtDNA. For example the nation by nation Y DNA haploroups such as this sample group from European nations. www.eupedia.com/europe/european_y-dna_haplogroups.shtmlOf course, these markers cross borders and give us some understanding of the genetic influences over nations of a particular area. For instance, Haplogroup R1b Y DNA seems to be particularly high in parts of western Europe, especially in traditionally Celtic language speaking areas.

It appears to make sense. After reading Israel Finkelstein's The Bible Unearthed, I imagine Philistines as a people akin to the Aegean - maybe both belonging to the "Sea Peoples" .
