Others may disagree with me, but I am tired of Old King Conan. I hope to see no more of his nostalgic reminiscences. I hope WBtB will be in the "present tense". It is like I said: Truman/Giorello should adapt next Beyond the Black River. King Conan nostalgic reminiscences can be left out, no problem for me. Let`s get another story, in the present tense, Dark Horse!

Yeah, the "reminiscence" framing device tends to lessen any feeling of suspense. Obviously, Conan survived. Of course, that is in the background for most of the REH Conan yarns, but putting it up front doesn't help. I just don't think it's usually necessary.

If they can do it as a straight "CONAN: BEYOND THE BLACK RIVER" mini, then I'm all for it. If they feel they need to do it as "KING CONAN: BEYOND THE BLACK RIVER" with a few framing pages here and there, then so be it.

Outstanding job on these comics. Truman and Giorello are absolute class as always. As others have said, they should do Beyond the Black River. I think they should do The Black Stranger, too. Their style is perfect for it. Same frontier/Pict scenario with some mystery, too!
I almost would have liked this stretched out to 5 or 6 issues, as all of the characters were awesome and could do well with more exposition and plot points. I loved it!!
A perfect compliment to the other outstanding King Conan. Great job Dark Horse!!!!

I got the trade for the mini that came out this week. They included quite a number of Tomas's B&W drawings as bonuses. Otherwise, they just included what Tim wrote in #1 and Jose in #3. It really does seem like this is the end of the line. It's been a good run for those three.

It was a good run but I really would've liked to see Beyond The Black River. Doubt that happens now, sales way too low.

They could always bring them back to do The Black Stranger, Beyond the Black River, and Red Nails in the last monthly Dark Horse book. That's still a few years away I think.

God, I hope so. The thought of no more Truman/Giorello Conan comics makes me sad.

Doesn't look hopeful sadly , Tim told me he hasn't heard anything from DH and Tomas is currently exclusive with Valiant.

It all began back in the day of Road of Kings. Before that Iron Shadows in the Moon was selling 15K if I`m not mistaken.

Dark Horse may be feeling now how hard it's been to recover. That's how I see it.
