Haven't had a chance to listen to these yet but appreciate how your episodes have caused an increase in posts to this subforum.

I meant to have this done in 5 weeks but things got busy and I still need to write up the king episodes, looks like one will be for Jewels, the war and the first two stories, the n the final will be for Hour/Conqueror and all the other stuff. THEN I can finally get onto the Howard Extended Universe episode, then likely onto ERB.

Just checking the listenership numbers, they're higher for the Conan ones than the Rings of Power ones! Not sure what it says, but I'll take it.

Part 5 is up anchor.fm/john-harchar7/episodes/Episode-16-The-Nemedian-Chronicles-on-Conan-of-Cimmeria-Part-5--Conan-the-Warrior-e1up54f#_=_You may notice the Red Nails section is a little...halting. Hey, YOU try to pronounce those names with all those consonants one after the other! For those wondering, the name Irolondo is derived from Spanish. Iro, the past version of go, or gone, or went and lon meaning land or yard.Going back to last episode, I'm wondering if Farnsworth might have gone for the story had it been called Women of the Black Shadow. Probably not, but I needed to come up with an alternate title with Black in it for it to fit in. That's part of the reason Servants of Bit-Yakin/Jewels of Gwahlur got pushed off. But this will put Conan in the right place to take charge of the Aquilonian army during a war with Turan... Thanks for the new episode, will give this one a listen today.

Just got a note from Spotify that they changed the way they calculate who can do ads and after six months of work and preparing for my first ad tomorrow I no longer qualify. Bad news for me for now, but good news in that you’ll still be getting it commercial free. Thinking about moving to iHeart over the summer. You need a subscription fee but you can start up with ads right away from what I understand. We’ll see.
In the meantime, I’m working through the purely pastiche part of the story between Jewels and Phoenix for the next episode. It gets tough when Howard gives you ZERO idea of what happened of how Conan got the throne apart from a detail or two. Combining a couple of approaches but need to tweak one thing before it’s set. Also have to move a few things into place like someone losing the Hyborian Age version of Precious.

Works well for us, might be worth checking out. Buzz costs, but not much, and you can bring in subscribers via Patreon. BS will also distribute to Apple, Spotify, etc innsmouth.buzzsprout.com/

Nice one johnnypt! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole series, thanks for your efforts. I have a much clearer idea of where Conan headed on his travels now. It was also helpful for me to use this map (link) (that I found somewhere else on this forum) at the same time.

It was also helpful for me to use this map (link) (that I found somewhere else on this forum) at the same time. Maps definitely help! The one that had the Road of Kings on it was a godsend and helped out with a few ideas. The annotations are done, but I need to give it a full listen again before posting…all 75 minutes worth!
