Great news.
Now, they can stop all this nonsense and adapt an actual REH yarn.

If they can't get an Arnold sequel off the ground, they sure as hell won't touch Momoa after CtB 2011 tanked hard. He's been working hard since then, both on screen and behind, paying off with his casting as Aquaman. HE may be in the driver's seat if he would choose to return to the character (I completely understand if he'd rather not at this point). It would certainly be a heavy lift, because that 2011 disaster has long repercussions (I think I've seen Solomon Kane on TV more than that one). More than likely, nothing's going to happen for quite a long while.

Somebody ask Will Beall to let us read his cript? That's the least that could be done about this now.

I think the Mamoa train is picking up steam, and if anyone wants to sign him on to a Conan project, they better act fast. I wouldn't blame him if he ignored any offers to reprise the role; he was the best Conan to strap on a broadsword, but the film tanked hard. If not, sign up a new talent and do NOT make yet another origin story ( Hollywood just can't make a movie without a stupid origin story!) No matter how it pans out in the future, Arnold's Conan is done...

Saw this from Fredrik Malmberg on the Arnold Fans site...
>"On April 6th, 2017, Malmberg stated: "We were very excited and spent years working with Chris Morgan to make Legend of Conan. Ultimately, the studio let the rights expire. The positive news is that Conan Properties now controls everything again, and are currently producing both TV and Film with a lot more control than we had previously. Everybody wants The Legend of Conan to happen and it will.”
Even more satisfying, the Conan producer also tells us the Conan TV series will not be family-friendly nonsense. Malmberg tells TheArnoldFans it will be "A premium cable show for mature audiences.” We were also told that that Conan movies will tie into this TV series and will have video games and books! "We are forming a creative hub to coordinate all these various efforts with a cohesive creative direction." Malmberg concludes!"<
So there's the first bit about the movie still being alive. But there's also that last bit about a TV series, video games and books.
Aside from the "controversial" video game, Exiles, and some tabletop gaming advances, the Conan brand has fallen into a bit of a rut lately. Malmberg seems to be planning a kind of Conan renaissance. Sounds grand but I wonder how long we'll have to wait. They could start by offering an official site for Conan. Kind of sad that the mighty Cimmerian doesn't have an official home on the web where his owners could let the fans know where he was headed.

An official Conan site would help. For me, the future books sounds interesting. As long as they don't go crazy and dump a huge pile of books on the buying public. I must admit, I'm ready to start buying/reading some fresh pastiche works.

Well... I understand the man. He wants biger peace of cake in this one (propably story goes with younger main actor that come for advise or some sort of help to retired Duch), and that leaves a theory that he would gladly go with Conan, since even T6 is fall from the game, at least with Arnie. As far as studio goes, their consider about the younger audience is in my opinion only excuse. There are lots and lots of people (younger and older) that wish, with great entusiasm, to see Schwarzenator back in the sadle once again. Like it or not, but CtB 1982 has a cult status in world, their own base of fans that is greater in number then those (including us here) who knows about original yarns of REH, who dream about that "untold story" for the last few decades, so LoC/CtC has some strong ods to be succesfull movie. Recorded or not in the end, of all the posible options Arnold has right now, this is his best oportunity to shine once again. And I think that He knows that very well. Certanly it isnt born of love for the REH or character, but from a desire for one last stand in posible big budget film with a chance to be greatly succesfull (more or less) in cinema's, that get us this sort of statemant from the guy. Even that I can understand. His time is on his sunset and he's not get eny younger. And that leave's one big movie in the man. Perhaps it is this one. But, nothing is yet come to past, so, once again, we shall see. Surprises are posible, pleasent and bitter one. Of course, it would be very good to see some sensire and true devotion from Arnold when it come to Conan and Two gun Bob. In the begining, that role lounch him as Holywood star.
