Thanks for setting this haven up Jason. Much appreciated! I am new to the board and just recently started re-collecting (lost most of my prior collection in a house fire) as much Howard material as I can grab (or as much as I can sneak in the back door while the wife isn't looking). Look forward to some entertaining conversation and some inside info on what is out there that I should be on the look out for. Cheers all!

I just want to say, Jason, how much I appreciate your new forum. I, too, have a suggestion: How 'bout putting, at the BOTTOM of every page, a quick link to the next page of the thread, and/or, back to the sub-forum thread list?

I, too, have a suggestion: How 'bout putting, at the BOTTOM of every page, a quick link to the next page of the thread, and/or, back to the sub-forum thread list? Hmmm, there is a bar at the top of each page that does just that regarding the sub forums. There are also buttons for the different pages, too. I bet there is a way to duplicate that at the bottom of the pages, though. That would make sense. I'll have to see if proboards is capable of that. Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see if I can get that going.

I did some tooling and managed to get both of those working, ironhand. Let me know if this works better for you.

You totally have my sympathy. Almost 4yrs ago, I lost my books, cds, dvds and all memorabilia in a flood. It's heartbreaking. There are a lot of cheap Howard books online, thankfully.

Wow, this is excellent that more and more people are joining up. I'm glad this all worked out. Yes. But it's all because of your very quick hard work, before the old forum rushed to shut down. YOU have saved our vibrant REH community and enabled us all to continue here so easily and smoothly. JASON - HERO of Hyboria ! -- >> And a big warm WELCOME to all new fans, and to all returning 'fearless warriors & dark sorcerers'. Great to see most of our 'regular posters' together again, here. >> 68 members so far. and 137 guests viewed here in last 24 hrs. That is wonderful news. [ the generous link on the closed old forum page is helping a lot ] -- REH fans rock ! [ like an avalanche from Mount Crom ]

Didn't want to start a new thread... How do you link something inline? By that I mean, you create a word or phrase that, when clicked, will link you to another page because the link is embedded. I could do that at conan.com, but not here. Example: "Hawks of Outremer"I just tried to link that to Howard Works in another post. I've just (supposedly) "linked" it via the "Link" button in the top right screen right now. Instead, you can't see it is linked (though it is underlined while composing/editing) and all it does is generate a another window of the page you're on when it IS clicked. Try it yourself above. What am I doing wrong? I can insert pics no problem.

I edited your post. It looks like whenever you use that button, it basically creates an HTML code. You have to put the url between the two " "

Or you can highlight the text you want to make into a link, click the link button, and paste the url into the box there.

Robert E. Howard's Wikipedia PageClick the link button and then insert the text you want and the url. Then hit create link. This will cause the code to generate in the post:

No sweat. Just let me know if that doesn't work for you. In that first post of yours that I edited, there was no web address between the " ".
