Yep, there's a flood of Eternals books out now that were originally timed for the movie. So now you have an extra year to catch up.

I bought it, sight unseen, because it looked interesting.

Anybody have any thoughts on Kazar? They announced an omnibus for that title. Don't know exactly what it collects yet.
Currently reading Rogue Trooper and really digging it.

Just saw the Ka-Zar announcement, it's for the Bruce Jones-Brent Anderson run in the 80s. Haven't run all of it, but it's very highly regarded.

Having finally sat down and read all of Dynamite's work with The Lone Ranger (minus the two crossovers), I can very much recommend the two 25 issue series by Brett Matthews and Ande Parks. The handful of miniseries they did by a handful of writers are more varying in quality, though.

The film was trying too hard to be Pirates on horseback, while completely missing what made that first movie good.

A really really great comic book series by Glenat (who also make the good Howard/Conan-versions) is "La Sagesse des mythes" (The wisdom of myths). It retells the story of ancient myths of the Greco-Roman mythology (but they already published Gilgamesh as well, so maybe more non-greek will follow). I think it is an amazing series as it tries to be as close to the original sources as possible, offers detailed background information in each episode and while having a new artist for every story, the art style is consistent, clean and very good looking. Overall I'd say it's the best way to read about Achilles, Ulyssees, Oedipus and others in comic book form. It is published in French and I have a German translation. I think there is no English translation yet but I hope for all of you that there will be one!
